The episode opens with Anupama fixing Anuj’s collar and button. As they share a tender moment, Anuj imagines a romantic scene between them. Snapping back to reality, he tells Anupama he’s getting late. She feeds him curd and sugar for good luck, assuring him all will be fine. Anuj agrees, saying her presence makes everything better.
Meanwhile, Sagar talks in his sleep about his feelings for Meenu. Bala locks the door and warns Sagar about the societal challenges of a rich-poor relationship. Sagar insists he can’t forget Meenu and decides to speak to Anupama.
At the Shah house, Dolly tends to Meenu’s injured hand and warns her against a relationship with Sagar, claiming he’s after her money. Meenu defends Sagar and accuses Dolly of being selfish. Kinjal advises Meenu to tell Anupama the truth about her feelings so she can support them.
Back at Asha Bhavan, Aadhya asks Mahi to fetch her books from the Shah house. Anupama fondly talks about Choti’s bond with children and is encouraged by Nandita to say yes to Anuj’s feelings. Bala invites Anupama to cook South Indian dishes for the upcoming Onam festival.
Anuj attends a job interview, where the interviewer refuses to hire him, citing concerns about company secrets. He also taunts Anuj about his downfall. Disheartened, Anuj sits at a temple, where Anupama finds him and cheers him up with a paper rocket that says “START.” They walk together, motivated to move forward.
The next morning, Asha Bhavan is decorated for Onam. Baa and Kinjal prepare in South Indian attire, despite Baa’s worries about Toshu’s reaction. Kinjal says she won’t shoulder Toshu’s responsibilities forever. They leave with the children for the celebrations.
Anuj and Anupama get ready, sharing a playful and romantic exchange as they remove each other’s bad sight with kajal. Aadhya calls them to join the festivities. Anuj teases Anupama about knowing she drives him mad.
Precap: Anuj and Anupama celebrate Onam with music and dance. The builder arrives, ordering them to vacate the house within an hour, threatening forceful eviction if they refuse.
