Anuj has a surprise for Aadhya. Her friends are delighted. Intrigued by the short notice, Shruti asks Anuj where he got the cake. With a sly smile, Anuj replies that it’s magic and decides not to reveal his secret just yet – he wants to include Anu in the birthday celebration, too. He plans to video call her, wondering if she’ll answer. As he prepares to film, Shruti also requests him to take a video on her phone. Meanwhile, Anupama receives a voice message from Anuj informing her of the venue change and how much Aadhya loved the cake. He promises to call her when it’s time to cut it. Concerned about why the party was moved to a restaurant, Anupama wonders if Choti is okay and if she’s upset that she had decorated the house for the occasion. She watches the video and hopes Choti is happy because that’s all that matters. Vikram appears with a dish and proudly shows it to Anupama, who exclaims, “Perfect!”
As soon as she gets a phone call, she attends the call until Ms. Smith tastes the snacks. She informs Rahul that she will only take this out as the final touch. She gets emotional seeing Aadhya cut the cake she made herself. Aadhya cuts the cake and makes Anuj eat it. Anupama prays for Aadhya’s happiness. She makes Anuj have it first. Anuj wishes her a happy birthday, and she hugs and feeds him cake to Shruti.
Toshu asks Vikram and Rahul if Ms. Smith’s dish is ready. Vikram says Anupama will do that. Toshu says she is on call and will take some time. Rahul says she said she would see, and then only the biryani would be served. Rahul asks him to understand. Toshu says we can’t reheat it if it cools. Toshu takes the dish forcibly with evil intent. Anupama tries to stop him but in vain.
A popular dish of Anupama’s is undhiyu biryani, which Toshu presents to Ms. Smith. Rahul says Toshi took it forcibly. He serves the biryani to Ms. Smith, who is stunned. Vikram asks Anupama about it. Anupama goes there. Anuj thinks something is wrong and goes to spice and chutney, but he feels something has occurred. Anupama says this is her signature dish. Ms. Smith asks, “What the hell is this?”
Anupama finds cockroaches in it. She asks if it’s undhiyu biryani or cockroach biryani. The customers begin taunting Anupama, asking if she wants to kill them. She says this is how you prepare the dish as the superstar winner that you serve to your customers. She says such a big name and zero hygiene, and I would have ended up in the hospital. She wants everyone to get checked out.
Anupama is shocked. Ms. Smith tells Anupama that she is fake. She talked big about motherhood, customers, serving food with love, and respecting people, but you are just a facade. She says she will sue her and her restaurant. The video is taken by the customers, who ask her to take her trophy home to eat the cockroach biryani. He says they will ban the restaurant. She says, “Anupama Joshi, you’re done.” The trophy breaks as she hurls the plate at it.
The customer is concerned that they are being made to eat poison in the name of food. Anupama says, “I’m sorry, Ma’am, but I didn’t see how it got here.” Ms. Smith asks, “You didn’t look inside the dish before it was served?” Yashdeep thinks Ms. Smith must have given us an American star by now. Beeji prays to God.
Baa inquires why Babu Ji seems troubled. He responds that he’s been thinking about Anupama, with a food critic visiting her restaurant. Baa wonders if Anupama will come back after receiving the American star. Babu ji advises first to let her receive it. Aadhya then asks Anuj to take a photo with them, which goes viral. At Aadhya’s birthday celebration, guests discuss how Ms. Smith found a cockroach in her food at Spice and Chutney restaurant, and now she won’t let it go. Upon hearing this, Aadhya urges Anuj to take a photo with her, but he runs away instead, causing her to yell out in frustration.
As Anupama collapses, Anuj rushes to support her. “You’re not responsible for this,” he reassures her. Turning to Aadhya, he adds that Anupama intentionally caused the incident to gain sympathy from their father. “We must take action and remove her from our house,” Aadhya agrees. Addressing Ms. Smith and her partner, Anuj requests a moment to speak and praises their professionalism. He acknowledges that they are well aware of Anupama’s dedication to her job and points out that she wouldn’t have earned the title of superstar chef if she were careless or untrustworthy. He also highlights the restaurant’s exceptional reputation for cleanliness and hygiene, which is strictly upheld by their Indian staff.
During cooking, Anupama prays and performs puja on the stove and utensils, he says. He doesn’t understand why they would do this; just think once. He says it’s a running restaurant, so why would anyone do this to shut it down? Vikram and Rahul ask her to check the kitchen. Ms. Smith says, “I need to report honestly.” Toshu assures Anupama that your meals will be free, and this issue will be resolved.
A lady asks if you’re trying to bribe me. Anupama says she needs more time to figure out what happened. She says she cooks the food for a living and never even a hair comes in it, so how can cockroaches come in your food? Anuj says Anupama wants to find out who is responsible for this.
He asks Baa and Babu Ji why they cannot sleep until Anupama calls. As Titu’s bitter past unfolds, he asks them to have mangoes. He thinks Anupama was wrong about Titu. Aadhya calls Anuj and tells Shruti he will not pick up her call. She says they will go there, curses Anupama, and says someone will steal her happiness.
You may be right, Ms. Smith, but this restaurant was locked, and you might have rushed to open it to cover the losses. Basic hygiene standards were not followed, and this shouldn’t have happened. Her advice is to escalate the matter to food and hygiene authorities. They leave. Anuj assures Anupama not to worry. Anupama thinks of Yashdeep. The customers shout and taunt her before leaving. She sits down in shock.
