Anupama 28th September 2024 Written Episode Update begins with Anupama telling everyone that she and Anuj loved each other deeply and fought for their relationship. She recalls Baa’s hurtful words when she said that a Shehzadi can marry but not a Dadi, asking Anupama to refuse Anuj. Anupama explains that she was a divorcee, a mother of three, a Saas and a mother too. Their struggle was not just for love but also against society. Eventually, they convinced the family, respected both love and relationships, and everyone believed that Maan should marry. She points out to Meenu that unlike her, she never disrespected her mother.
Anupama reminds Meenu that she has hurt her mother who gave her life and raised her. She tells her that her love is a mistake and Dolly will decide her future. Sagar and Meenu apologize to Dolly. Sagar admits that they acted in haste and that Anupama is right that they should not have hurt the family. Meenu too seeks forgiveness. Dolly breaks down, questioning their decision and expressing her shattered dreams for Meenu’s marriage. She refuses to accept Sagar, curses their relationship, and even blames Anupama for supporting them, declaring that she too will never have the happiness of a daughter.
Sagar apologizes to Anupama, saying they do not deserve forgiveness and decide to leave. Pakhi, Baa, and Toshu taunt them, while Dimpy regrets packing unnecessarily. Just then, Anuj signals Anupama, and she stops the couple, bringing an aarti plate. While others are shocked, Anupama says she is only ensuring they are not left wandering on the streets. She tells Dolly that forgiveness is her choice, but she will still welcome them. She performs the tilak and aarti, asking them to enter the house together. Meenu kicks the kalash, enters with Sagar, and they seek Anupama’s blessings. She advises them to complete their education, stand on their feet, and handle responsibilities together.
Later, Anupama breaks down before Anuj, confessing her anger and frustration. Anuj tries to lighten the moment, joking about eloping into the jungle where animals would be better company than their family. Aadhya interrupts, and Anupama leaves to check on her. Anuj prays to God to help Anupama focus on him.
Meanwhile, Aadhya notices Ansh looking sad. He says he misses his Dadu, who used to play boys’ games with him. Aadhya offers to play with him, but during the game, the ball hits Ansh’s face. Dimpy rushes in, scolds Aadhya harshly, and calls her family beggars. Aadhya defends her parents and accuses Dimpy of being the worst. When Anupama arrives, Aadhya narrates everything. Anupama asks both to apologize, but Aadhya refuses. Ansh too supports Aadhya, telling Dimpy she should not have scolded her.
Later, Anupama and Anuj discuss with Babu ji how to ease the tension at home. They bring Meenu and Sagar to the hall and begin post-wedding rituals. Dolly fumes but Anupama insists on maturity. The couple play the ring-finding game where Sagar wins. The family teases them, while others suggest Anupama and Anuj play as well. Anuj says they will do so only after marriage, leaving Anupama thoughtful.
Precap: Dolly angrily declares abshagun during a ritual, leaving everyone shocked. Meanwhile, Anupama and Anuj are confronted by a man who accuses Anuj of being a fraud and bankrupt despite his past reputation as a successful businessman.
