Anupama inquires with Anuj about the papers that Maaya mentioned. Maaya laughs and accuses Anuj of deceiving her by going to the US, and these papers serve as proof. Anupama glances at Anuj while Maaya claims that they both want to abandon her in favor of staying in the US. Ankush questions why Maaya is concerned if Anuj chooses to relocate. Defensively, she demands to know who Ankush is to interfere in their relationship. He clarifies that he is Anuj’s brother, but Maaya insists that she is Anuj’s responsibility. However, Ankush views her as a burden and blames his brother’s misfortune on her.
Maaya says she would rather avoid interacting with a man like him. She tosses a ticket at Anuj and asks why he insists on claiming that he is going to USA because of Anupama. Anuj responds angrily, questioning why he should even have to defend himself. He reiterates that his upcoming trip to the USA is for official purposes only, and that Anupama means everything to him. If he truly had romantic intentions, he wouldn’t have booked a ticket separately from hers.Furthermore, Anuj emphasizes that Maaya is simply his foster daughter’s biological mother and nothing more. Taking her into his care was a mistake that he deeply regrets. He sees no reason to justify himself to her, but since she continues to insult Anupama, he feels compelled to clarify that his future trip has no connection to her in any way.
The Shah family grows concerned when they fail to receive any calls from Paakhi and the others. They hope that Maaya hasn’t caused any trouble again. Leela prays for things to remain peaceful there. However, Maaya interrupts their thoughts with her loud laughter. Anuj remains unfazed by her behavior, but Maaya suddenly grabs his collar and accuses him of driving her mad along with Anupama. She violently mishandles Anupama and demands for her to leave them all alone. In a protective move, Anuj shields Anupama while Maaya continues to shout insults at her. Shocked by the outburst, everyone watches in silence as Maaya goes as far as wishing for Anupama’s death. Angered by her words, Anuj turns to confront Maaya. Meanwhile, Kinjal informs the family that Maaya is behaving erratically and even threw the aarti’s thali away. Leela realizes that she had sensed this would happen – first they troubled Anupama and now it seems like Maaya is causing trouble again.
After witnessing Kanta’s slap on Maaya, Barkha expressed shock and speculated that Anupama must have learned to give forceful slaps from her. Kanta then issued a warning to Maaya about daring to question her daughter again, making it clear she did not want any sort of relationship between them. She scolded Anuj for giving such a poor farewell to Anupama and advised him to restrain his unpredictable behavior or keep it away from others. Barkha even pointed out that despite the Shah family being flawed, they still managed to give a decent goodbye compared to Anuj’s actions.
After visiting Maaya and taking care of her, Anuj made repeated mistakes by keeping Maaya with her; he had no choice but to go to America out of all of the world; why he organized a farewell for Anupama and humiliated her; why did he not admit mental Maaya to a mental asylum; why isn’t he aware as a businessman that he cannot obtain moksh/eternity if he goes behind Maaya; etc.
Anuj expresses his sincere apologies to Anupama for the mistakes he’s made and admits feeling ashamed. Upon hearing this, Anupama sympathetically accepts his apology. Kanta and Bhavesh suggest they leave the situation at hand. In the midst of all this chaos, Maaya throws Anupama’s bags and aggressively demands that she leave, claiming that Anuj belongs only to her. Barkha observes Maaya’s behavior and comments that she seems to have lost her sanity. Adhik adds that it was fortunate Kanta slapped Maaya instead of Anupama, otherwise things could have taken a turn for the worse. Anuj sternly warns Maaya to stop her nonsense, stating that despite being their daughter’s biological mother, she has crossed a line. He turns to Kanta and thanks her for indicating that Anupama does not deserve to be in such an environment, requesting her to take Anupama away from there. As they walk away together, Anupama glances back at Anuj while “Pyar Hum Ko Bhi Hai” plays in the background.
