Maya overhears Ankush discussing her mother’s departure to the United States with Anu, and asks Anu if she misses her. She nods, and he says, “I see that you stay away from her and that’s why she gets hurt because of that.” She said when you had gone, she had sent you happily, so you shall also see her off happily, so that she goes from here happily. As she becomes old choti, Maya becomes upset.
Anupama says yes. Paakhi asks Dimple to avoid making mistakes like her and bond with her family. Dimple asks her to manage her husband and sasural.
As Dimple has to go to Kapadia house for dinner, her husband suggests they take a family selfie. Anupama gets sad and says she will leave after an hour. She asks if it’s okay to say goodbye so soon.
Anuj is patiently waiting for Anupama and notes that the 6-hour delay seems even longer due to the frequent fluctuations in the light. He turns to Servant and inquires if the light has been checked. Meanwhile, Anupama seeks advice from Baa on how she will manage with so much luggage. Despite Baa’s insistence that she must take it, Anupama becomes emotional and embraces her, expressing how much she will miss her. Glancing at the time, Anupama realizes she needs to leave soon. As Baa sheds tears, Anupama asks for her gift. While Baa points out that she has already given a lot of items, Anupama insists on receiving her specific gift as it holds sentimental value. The rest of the family presents their gifts as well and Anupama gratefully thanks them all for their thoughtfulness and for making her day and party so special.
Vanraj hands her the ghungroo and mentions it is a gift from him. Anupama’s memory immediately recalls the incident where Vanraj had flung it at the mirror. He explains that despite his past actions, he has always been the one to tie her anklets, and now he wants to give her these ghungroos. Anuj may have initially gifted them, but as a friend, he wants to offer them to her in case she ever needs them. Grateful, Anupama thanks him. She then proceeds to reveal that she has something for all of them as well. She acknowledges that letter writing is no longer a common practice, but she believes it allows for deeper expressions of emotions compared to emails. She asks everyone to imagine that she has poured her heart out onto these letters and advises them to read it once she has left. The rest of the family expresses their gratitude towards her. Finally, Anupama announces that it’s time for her to depart.
A Bangban song plays….She hugs her family and kids. The kids hold her pallu and ask her not to leave. Vanraj frees her pallu. Kavya brings flower petals and gives them to Anupama. She throws them over her head and gets out of the house. She waves everyone goodbye and looks at their tears. She departs.
As each person opened their letter, they read the unique message from Anupama. Baa’s letter contained a request to take care of herself and Kavya, as she needed her now more than ever. Dimpy’s letter urged her to make a place in everyone’s heart like Kinjal. Paritosh’s letter asked her to step up and take on Pari’s responsibilities amidst Kinjal’s decision, while also reminding her to take care of herself. And finally, Kinjal’s letter was filled with praise and a gentle reminder that she is not just a daughter-in-law but also a woman, along with other relationships.
Samar reads the letter in which Anupama asks him to take care of Dimple and focus on dance academy. Kavya reads the letter in which Anupama asks her to take care of herself and the baby, and to call her whenever needed, without checking the time. As Anupama writes in the letter that they were husband and wife, friends, enemies, but never became strangers because they had to meet for the kids and Baa and Babu ji.
In her letter, she expresses her hope that their next meeting will be as friends. She asks him to take care of Kavya and himself and wishes him the best as he becomes a father again. Adhik and Paakhi both receive their letters. Anupama encourages Adhik to give Paakhi a chance and assures him that she is trying her best. She also reminds him to take care. To Paakhi, she advises not to lose courage because everything will work out between her and Adhik. Anupama reassures Paakhi that she will bridge the distance between them as she sees her as a daughter. She concludes by saying goodbye to Anuj, as she is coming to see him in person.
