Anupama 8th November 2024 Written Episode begins with Anupama furiously confronting Prem. She asks if he really took the kids to a party instead of the sadsang. Prem admits that everyone wanted to go and that the organiser was his acquaintance, so he agreed. Anupama reminds him that he lied and broke her trust. “I trusted you the first day we met,” she says. “In Dwarka, I thought I had found my Saarthi, someone who would help me guide these children. I fought everyone to let you stay in this house where young girls live. I gave you respect and my trust, but you broke both.”

She tells him that she sent the kids with him believing he would take responsibility for them, yet he never told the truth. Turning to Aadhya, Anupama adds, “I thought you never lie and that you would take care of everyone being the eldest, but you also hid the truth.” Prem apologises and says, “If we had told you, you would not have let us go.” Anupama replies, “And that is why we stop you — because you cannot stand on your own yet. Trust is not a word; it is a promise. You would not have broken my trust if you understood its meaning.”

Prem tries to explain, but Anupama stops him, nearly slapping him before controlling her anger. She then scolds the children — Ansh, Ishani, Mahi, and Pari — for lying and going to the party. “If you wanted to go, you could have asked for permission,” she says sternly.

Toshu interrupts, saying even they used to go to parties. Pakhi adds, “But we never lied.” Kinjal remarks, “And we never wore such cheap clothes,” and taunts Pari about her weight. Pari, deeply hurt, pulls her hand back and says, “Stop controlling my life. My body, my life, my rules.” The family is stunned. Pari continues, saying, “You both are never happy, and you don’t let us be happy. You always fight, even on Diwali. When was the last time we all ate together or spoke without taunts?”

She turns to Kinjal, asking if she ever noticed her likes or dreams. “Do you know my favorite color, movie, or food?” she asks. Kinjal guesses green, but Pari says, “It’s white, but you don’t let me wear white because you think I look fat. Being overweight isn’t a crime.” Her voice trembles as she says, “Papa feeds me just to prove Mamma wrong. Every day in this house feels like a fight.”

Baa dismisses her words as drunken nonsense, but Ishani steps in, saying, “Pari isn’t wrong. We’re all tired of being controlled.” She accuses the elders of treating them like slaves, saying, “You restrict everything — our dreams, our choices.” Pakhi insists they never stopped her, but Ishani counters, “This modeling, this influencer life — it’s your dream, not mine.”

She confesses that she lives under constant pressure to smile for followers and never gets a moment to be herself. “I want to eat food made by Anu Maa, oil my hair, and watch TV like a normal girl,” she says tearfully. Pakhi calls her ungrateful, saying parents sacrifice everything for their children, but Ishani replies, “Maybe you should listen instead of talking about gratitude.”

Ansh joins in, laughing bitterly, “You never let us be happy. You control everything.” He says the elders don’t understand that they are grown up now. “If I feel this restricted, imagine how the girls must feel,” he adds. Mahi then bravely speaks up for the first time.

“I have complaints too,” Mahi says softly. “But you never gave me the right to speak.” She reveals her pain, saying her father never accepted her, and her mother left without looking back. “I was told I don’t belong to this family,” she cries. “Only Anudi, Babuji, Ansh, Pari, and Ishu treat me like family. I always loved and respected you all, but you never treated me as one of you.” The room falls silent. “When will you see me as your own?” she asks.

The children laugh to hide their emotions. Anupama yells, ordering them to their rooms. “Enough!” she shouts. “Go to your rooms now!”

After they leave, Baa says this is all because of Prem and Aadhya’s bad influence. Toshu insists Pari would never talk this way, and Pakhi blames Aadhya. Kinjal says they must have brainwashed the kids. Anupama silences them, saying, “The truth spoken in a drunken state is still the truth. Whatever they said tonight, they have kept buried in their hearts for years.” She tells everyone to reflect on their own actions instead of blaming others.

Turning to Aadhya, she says, “I thought my daughter loved all children equally and fought for what was right. You always hated me, yet I loved you. But what you did tonight is unbearable. You crossed the line. If you are my daughter, then Mahi is also my daughter. I will not allow anyone, not even my own child, to spoil the others.”

Finally, she faces Prem again. “You did me a great favor once by reuniting me with my daughter. I will never forget that. But I can never forgive you for breaking my trust. You can no longer stay in this house.” She asks him to leave immediately. Prem apologises, touches her feet, and quietly walks out without a blessing. Aadhya leaves the room silently.

Anupama, her voice breaking, says, “You all felt hurt tonight, but I have felt this pain for years. My own children have always questioned my love.” She points out that every parent in the room has failed to understand their own child. “I have four kids, and you couldn’t even handle one,” she says. “What the children said tonight was harsh, but true — they showed us the mirror.”

Later, Prem drives away heartbroken, replaying Anupama’s words in his mind. At home, Toshu enters Ansh’s room, removes his shoes, and tenderly puts him to bed. Aadhya covers Mahi and Ishani, removing their jewellery before sleeping. Kinjal and Pakhi sit silently, their eyes full of regret.

Outside, Anupama lights diyas again, vowing never to let their flame die out. “Happy Diwali, Kapadia ji,” she whispers, looking at the glowing lights.

Precap:
Anupama greets everyone on the New Year, saying they must start fresh after the painful night. She encourages everyone to forget their anger and celebrate as a family. They join hands, sing, and play games. Just then, Prem returns and says, “I want to say something.”
