As the episode unfolds, Sonia arrives with a gift for Tara and reveals that she has brought her the daughter she always wanted. Vandana expresses her hesitation about separating from her daughter, to which Inder responds by stating that he should give the child to Vandana since he has raised her for seven years. Kunal questions why this is happening now, and Sonia explains that she plans on marrying Inder after they divorce in order to start their new life together. Guneet interjects, expressing disapproval towards Sonia’s actions. In defense, Sonia confesses that the child is in fact Kunal’s, but she didn’t mention it earlier when he asked her to leave his life because she assumed he would think it was Inder’s. When Pammi doubts her words, Sonia suggests getting a DNA test done to prove the child’s paternity as every mother knows who their baby belongs to.
Sonia says get DNA tests done, she is your daughter. He shouts no, she is not my daughter. Kunal says this is sick, you both listen to me and understand. Take her and get out. Vedika asks Inder to explain Kunal. She says you are a stain on the name of friendship. Kunal regarded you like a brother, Kunal and dad helped you a lot, you should be ashamed. Pammi scolds Sonia. Kunal had a love affair with Sonia, and she left after having an affair with Inder.
According to Sonia, Kunal relied on Kuldeep’s influence and was not able to take a stand. However, Inder is different and has made his own way in life, rather than being controlled by someone else. Kunal then prompts Inder to explain his path to success. Inder credits both his father and himself for achieving success, while also accusing him of using love as a means to extract trade secrets from their company. In other words, he took advantage of Kunal’s emotions and is still doing so. Confused, Inder asks for clarification. Kunal clarifies that Sonia sought Inder out because of his success and that he only entered a relationship with her to spite him. Smirking, Inder responds sarcastically to Kunal’s accusations.
Kunal and Inder engage in a heated argument, prompting others to intervene. Mrunal enjoys the commotion, while Sonia urges Kunal to end things with Inder. She reminds him of his past mistakes caused by anger. Kunal retorts that he will always be the same and questions if she even cares. Vandana remembers Kunal’s previous outbursts. Sonia declares that she wants a clean break from their marriage and for him to stay away from their daughter. Kunal is taken aback and tells her to leave with her daughter. As Sonia walks away, she vows to start anew. Inder teases Kunal as they exit, but Kunal pleads for them not to take Tara away from him. Vandana feels sorry for Tara as she asks where her mother and Inder have gone, calling Kunal “papa” and holding his hand.
As Kunal reminisces about Sonia’s words, Vandana expresses her support, comforting him not to cry. Vedika then suggests that they take care of the girl who has joined them for Navratri. Vijay invites Vandana to join him, while Vedika apologizes for something. Vaibhav also calls out for Vandana and Mrunal advises everyone to let go of the matter. Tara adds that she wants to stay with Vandana.
Sonia is asked by Inder to be asked by Kunal. He says she loves me, not you. Kunal says she loves me. He says I love you Sonia. He says I love you. Sonia says I don’t. She says I don’t, I love Inder, let me live, I feel suffocated with you, it is my decision to live with him. Inder asks did you understand. Inder ends the conversation. Kunal breaks a mirror in anger. Vandana arrives. She helps him, and asks if it hurts. He says I can’t tolerate this pain. Tara joins him.
