Chirag recounts Lavanya’s frequent acts of humiliation towards Deepika and expresses remorse for Deepika’s suffering. Upon hearing this, Lavanya confronts Chirag for defending Deepika and criticizing her. Chirag shares his shame at witnessing Deepika’s mistreatment in their home. In response, Lavanya claims that she raised her children to be respectful and is hurt by their accusations. She reminds Chirag that they are well-educated and open-minded individuals who do not discriminate based on skin color. However, she also admits her dislike for dark skin, citing the example of abandoning her dark-skinned granddaughter at a hospital and never accepting her. For Lavanya, Deepika holds no significance.
In the process of watering her flower plants, Deepika feels happy to see them bloom. When Yashwant approaches her, he discusses her marriage. He asks her to meet the boy he’s chosen for her. Deepika replies, “I do not need to meet or look at him if he has chosen me.” Yashwant shows her Birju’s picture and asks her to meet him again once. Deepika visualizes Chirag and feels nervous.
Despite Deepika insulting her many times before, Lavanya continues to express her hatred of dark-skinned people. Chirag explains how wrong it is to judge people by their color, not their nature. Omkar says he will listen to her. As Lavanya explains, Chirag must listen to how Deepika asked her to leave her shoes outside the house, how she performed god’s aarti in her temple, and how she claimed there was no difference between her and common people.
Despite Chirag’s support for Deepika, Lavanya panics more and collapses. Omkar and Chirag promise to support her always and urge her to stop hating dark-skinned people and causing her blood pressure to rise. But Lavanya continues to hate.
Lavanya calls her employees home to discuss a product after some time. Roshni accidentally throws her ball at Lavanya and apologizes. Staff ask who she is. Roshni hugs Lavanya and says she is Lavanya’s granddaughter. Lavanya panics and pushes Roshni away.
She falls and calls her mother. Payal rushes to Roshni and asks staff to leave so she can speak with the CEO. Once they leave, Lavanya asks how dare she send her staff away. Payal confronts her for pushing her daughter away and misbehaving with her. She asks why she is so proud of her fair skin and why she hates dark-skinned people like Roshni and Deepika.
She challenges Lavanya that soon there would be a dark-skinned DIL like Deepika in her life. Payal describes how ruthless, filthy, and ugly she is by nature, pours ink on her face, and shows her face in a mirror. Lavanya panics and tries to slap Payal. Payal holds her hand.
