Lavanya is unhappy with Deepika’s actions, claiming she is intentionally ruining Jhanvi’s pooja. Chirag overhears and questions Lavanya’s need to constantly criticize Deepika. Moreover, Lavanya insists that Deepika is causing problems in her relationship with her son. Jhanvi interjects, reminding Lavanya that they are running late for Tula Daan. Without another word, Lavanya departs the scene.
After encouraging Chirag to depart for Bangalore, Deepika heads to the temple. Mishka then joins her and expresses a desire to join her. Deepika discloses that she is observing a fast with hopes of conceiving a child. Together, they make their way to the temple.
Lavanya performs Jhanvi’s tula daan at the temple and prays for a rightful heir. Panditji then suggests that Jhanvi accompany Deepika to the temple to earn virtue. However, Jhanvi dismisses his suggestion and reminds him to mind his business. Despite her protest, Panditji shares information about a ritual that could help her conceive a child. But Jhanvi rudely rejects the idea and insults him yet again. In response, Panditji compares her unfavorably to Deepika, who is like a day, while Jhanvi seems like a night. Deepika arrives at the temple and performs the suggested ritual with great devotion as if on cue, earning praise from devotees around her. Lavanya asks about the commotion, and Neelima replies that their elder daughter-in-law is being praised. Lavanya’s expression turns sour in response.
While performing parikrama, Deepika suddenly collapses. As a crowd gathers around her, Neelima rushes to her aid. However, Lavanya – in her usual eccentric manner – pulls Neelima away from the scene. Mishka then helps wake Deepika up, and she greets Panditji before leaving. Feeling weak, Deepika sits down, and Mishka hands her some contraceptive pills disguised as multivitamins. She advises Deepika to take one pill a day to prepare her body for pregnancy. In the car, the song “Lagjaa Gale…” plays on the radio, prompting Deepika to declare it her favorite song. Mishka shares that it was also someone else’s favorite song – Chirag’s girlfriend, who tragically died after Mishka tampered with Chirag’s car brakes, causing an accident.
As Deepika arrives home, she receives a call from Chirag. Expressing her feelings, she admits to missing him. In response, Chirag explained that his reason for calling was that he missed her, too. Spotting the flowers, Deepika declares her love for them. However, this triggers Chirag’s memories of giving flowers to his ex-girlfriend, and he becomes melancholic. He then reveals to Deepika that he wants to discuss his past with her. Rejecting this idea, Deepika chooses to focus on their future together instead.
