The Mittal family holds the annual Devi maa’s navratri pooja. After performing the first day pooja, Panditji informs Omkar of its completion. Lavanya then requests Panditji’s blessings for her newly wed daughter-in-law and son, hoping for a future heir soon. Omkar also asks for blessings for his elder daughter-in-law and son. Finally, both of them receive the blessings of Panditji.
After Panditji’s departure, Lavanya presents gifts to Neelima and Jhanvi and wishes for Jhanvi to soon bear the next Mittal family heir, as she is the only daughter-in-law. Omkar then confronts her, reminding her that Chirag and his wife should be expected to have the first rightful heir. However, Lavanya dismisses Deepika as a daughter-in-law and compares her to unwanted dirt. Despite Omkar’s attempts to persuade her, she remains unconvinced.
According to Deepika, a lotus thrives in the midst of dirt, but a child can never be considered as such. She believes that her child will be loved by the whole family and receive affection from both herself and her mother. Deepika is confident that Chirag will provide her with a worthy successor. Omkar bestows his blessings upon Deepika, wishing for her children to possess the same virtues of culture and courage as she does, bringing honor to their family name. Lavanya angrily storms away from the scene, followed by other members of the family.
As Deepika and Chirag enter their room, she notices his fury. He questions why her father did not inform her of his health before they got married and why she made a promise to his mother of giving them an heir. Deepika reassures him that she is aware of everything and was simply trying to shield him. Relieved, he expresses his trust in her and she suggests they continue to work together as a team, with mutual trust.
Calling Yashwant, Jhanvi requests that he let Shobha and Manorama know that she will be returning home. Prithvi gives her a passionate hug. He is pushed away by her. He becomes enraged and accuses her of acting like a roadside thugs. She claims that she is shy when considering intimacy and that she needs time to return from paghpheras since she believes that this clown also gets angry. He concurs. She considers killing him to put an immediate stop to her issue, but then she sees Deepika ridiculing her and Lavanya and Chirag threatening to put her in jail for killing Prithvi. While teaching flowers how to decorate Prithvi and Jhanvi’s chamber for their suhagraat, Deepika walks by. Instead, Jhanvi believes she will murder Deepika.
