Abhay inquires if he should depart, to which Dadi requests for photos to be taken. Ritu is apprehensive that the pictures and videos will turn out unpleasant. Spotting Ganga, she grapples and clasps Abhay’s hand. Kalyani enters and captures shots with Abhay and Ganga. Ritu urges Ganga to store the box of vermilion, but Ganga hesitates, saying it is not her own. Ritu persuades her to conceal it, assuring that no one will notice. She then leaves and continues taking snapshots with Akshay.
Dadi blesses both the couples as Kalyani hands Ganga the sindoor box. Ritu anxiously wonders if Kalyani is aware of her giving her sindoor to Ganga, knowing it could result in a furious reaction. While Kalyani gently applies the sindoor to Ganga’s forehead, Ritu musters the courage to confess that she was the one who gave away her own sindoor box. The rest of the family joins in with blessings and well wishes as Abhay and Ganga perform the traditional sindoor rasam. Akshay seeks his father’s embrace before receiving blessings from everyone present, including Kalyani who also blesses him. Inquiring about her missing sindoor box, Kalyani urges Ritu to take their blessings. With a hesitant voice, Ritu finally reveals…
Kalyani remarks, “I remember seeing the sindoor box, but you didn’t have it. Where is it now?” Lalita quickly replies, “It was in her hand, but I don’t know where it has gone.” Kalyani interrupts, stating, “You don’t need to defend her.” Ganga interjects, “No worries, I have it. Ritu thought it wouldn’t look good in the video.” Kalyani questions Ganga’s actions and advises her to keep the sindoor with her as it holds significance in marriage. She adds, “Ganga, just a reminder that you don’t need to handle her belongings.”
Kalyani applies sindoor to Ritu, reminding her of something she has forgotten. Ritu ponders, “What could it be this time?” When she asks Kalyani directly, “What did I forget?” Kalyani responds by stating the fact that Abhay is older than Akshay. Unimpressed, Ritu retorts, “And?” But Kalyani persists, pointing out that Ganga is older than Ritu and therefore it is customary for her to touch Ganga’s feet. Confused, Ritu asks for clarification. Lalita gestures to her in agreement while Kalyani questions why it’s such a challenge for her to do so. She explains that Ganga is her sister-in-law and should be addressed as “Didi” from now on. Lalita interjects, admitting that she was advised not to interfere earlier when Kalyani scolded her for not teaching Ritu these customs. At this point, Akshay tries to lighten the mood with a joke.
As Ganga enters, he greets her with a request for her blessings. “All I ask is that you show respect to my mother,” he says, “and you will become my favorite Devar.” Ganga gladly blesses him, but then halts Ritu’s actions. Kalyani intervenes, asking for Ritu to continue. Despite this, Ritu becomes frustrated and angrily touches Ganga’s feet. Akshay then approaches Abhay and humorously takes his blessings by pinching his feet. “You are older than me and a doctor,” he jokes.
Ritu also seeks Abhay’s blessings, as Kalyani reminds her of the importance of touching Ganga’s feet. Kalyani warns Ganga not to let anyone take advantage of her kind nature, directing a dig at Neha. As Abhay and Ganga leave, Lalita suggests that Ritu should manipulate situations to get Ganga removed. Ritu eagerly agrees, determined to fulfill her duty by humiliating Ganga.
