Aarthi confides in Durga that she was once afraid of everyone but has since chosen to let go of fear. She then addresses Panibai, noting how Savitri draws her courage from the family while Aarthi’s strength comes from her son. However, she doesn’t think Panibai would fully grasp this concept. Panibai responds by pointing out that she understands it more than Aarthi realizes and advises her to speak to Savitri for further insight. Indira interjects, proudly stating that she raised the children in the house as if they were hers. Once again, this elicits a sharp response from Panibai.
Feeling anxious about Anurag’s well-being, Durga calls Anubhav from a public phone booth. Upon hearing her concerns, Anubhav informs her that the situation is critical. He goes on to explain that although the initial diagnosis was a knee injury, further examination revealed head and back injuries. However, the doctor was able to remove the bullet successfully. Hearing this news, Durga immediately blames herself for Anurag’s suffering. Anubhav reassures her that they chose to help her willingly and she should not burden herself with guilt. He suggests focusing on her safety for the time being.
Durga admits to being in a desperate situation, lacking funds and frightened of Rajesh’s potential retaliation. Overwhelmed with no solution, she questions her ability to escape her predicament. Anubhav reminds her that she passed the medical exam successfully. However, Durga hesitates to seek help from Vikram, who holds her responsible for Anurag’s illness. She assures Anubhav that she will find a way and ends the call.
As Durga arrives at Rajesh’s house, she shares with Meera the news of Anurag’s unfortunate encounter with Rajesh. Chandini then remarks on the situation, causing Meera to inquire for further details. Durga goes on to recount how Rajesh imprisoned her in an abandoned bungalow and was facing torture and possible death. It was during this ordeal that Anurag and Anubhav intervened to rescue her, but unfortunately, a confrontation ensued, and Rajesh ended up shooting Anurag.
Upon hearing this, Rajesh’s aunt makes a cold remark, believing Anurag deserves the consequences for getting involved in their family matters. Durga becomes outraged and scolds her aunt for blindly supporting Rajesh regardless of the situation. She sternly warns her that further insults towards Anurag will result in being banned from eating in their house. Additionally, she instructs Meera to no longer serve food to Rajesh’s aunt in the future.
Meera queries Rajesh about Durga’s presence at the residence. Rajesh must have left by now, Durga responds, dreading Vikram’s wrath for injuring Anurag. She promises not to spare Rajesh and to kill him for what he did to Anurag if she gets the chance—her remarks cause Rajesh and his aunt to react aggressively.
