Vikram leads Anurag inside and assures him he will secure a position at one of Delhi’s top hospitals once he finishes his exams. Madhav stands by Anurag as they enter the house, and Aarthi breathes a sigh of relief upon seeing him safe.
Panibai makes a sardonic remark about Aarthi’s tears upon Anurag’s arrival. Aarthi defends her emotions in a heated exchange, while Panibai challenges her understanding of motherhood. Their disagreement continues until Vikram steps in, urging them to stop bickering over trivial matters. Aarthi insists that she is simply reacting to Panibai’s comments.
Following the pooja, the pandit requests that the family distribute prasad. Panibai comments that this is not Kinsar, where servants were responsible for such tasks. She offers to distribute the prasad, but Aarthi insists on doing it personally and prioritizing feeding Anurag first. Vikram reminds Aarthi that Anurag is not only her son, but Panibai also has a connection with him. This statement upsets Aarthi, who accuses Vikram of maltreating her due to her status as the family’s daughter-in-law.
Indira and Bhavya whisper about the tension, while Aarthi takes Vikram to task for allowing Panibai to visit the hospital despite not being a relative. Her mind races with questions about Panibai’s true ties to their household. In response, Panibai dares Aarthi to voice her suspicions and then turns to Savitri, questioning if she should expose the truth. After some hesitation, Savitri reluctantly reveals that one of their sons is also Panibai’s offspring.
At Durga’s house, her school teacher brings exciting news: she has successfully passed the medical entrance exam and can now fulfil her dream of becoming a doctor. However, Rajesh’s aunt and Chandini object to her plans, stating that she should work to support the family now that Rajesh is no longer with them. Despite their opposition, Durga stands her ground and attempts to leave with her teacher. Yet, Rajesh’s aunt and Chandini block the door, prompting Chandini to gather local women to support them while Durga persistently fights for her freedom to leave.
Upon returning to the Rathore residence, Panibai finally discloses the truth. She discloses that although Savitri’s husband never legally married her, their connection was more profound than marriage. Furthermore, she announces that Madhav is her son, conceived from that unbreakable bond.
Stunned, Madhav confronts Savitri for the truth. With tears in her eyes, she admits and explains that she raised him as her own to prevent any prejudice against him compared to her other sons. Emotion overwhelms Madhav as he absorbs this revelation.
The neighbourhood women show up at Durga’s house, taking Rajesh’s aunt and Chandini’s side in accusing her of disrespect for studying during the mourning period. However, Durga stands her ground and explains that her aspiration to become a doctor is ultimately for their betterment so she can provide for them. Upon being challenged by Durga, the woman initially hesitates but eventually grants her permission to leave with her teacher.
