Rajesh interjects, expressing hesitation about allowing Durga to study and suggesting she focus on managing their home instead. Durga pleads with Vikram, recalling that he had promised her and stating that she has already lost everything, therefore she implores him to grant her the opportunity to pursue education.
Anubhav reveals that Rajesh had assured her he would support her studies after their marriage. However, according to Rajesh, if she continues to leave the house, it may lead to gossip. He believes they should prioritize their marriage since they plan on having children soon. Durga strongly disagrees and declares she will pursue her education at all costs. Vikram advises her not to defy her husband as it would bring further disgrace upon their family.
“I want to talk to you,” Durga says to Anurag. “I hate you, and I don’t want to,” he says. Get lost; I don’t care about you. Durga gives him a smile. You are smiling because you are so shameless, according to Anurag. I was foolish to love you, to hope for you, to dream with you. The very sight of you disgusts me. I can now see your truth; you possess every trait I detest. From here, get lost. Are you finished, Durga asks? I want to speak with you and return the favor. She returns his cabinet key and says, “Please take this back; I want to end our relationship. I’m no longer in your life.”
Anurag is wondering why you need to speak with me, since he mentioned earlier that you might have misplaced it. However, the cupboard holds our personal belongings and I didn’t want anyone else to come across the key. Remember, Anurag gave you the key and also kept some cash in there for your convenience. I did take some money from the cabinet but rest assured, I’m keeping track of my expenses and will reimburse as soon as possible.
According to Anurag, I never wanted to monitor finances for you since I loved you, but you have destroyed everything. I’ve kept track of whatever money I took from you, Durga claims. Anurag claims that since you are incapable of standing up for yourself, I have no interest in receiving money from you. I’m a little hurt, but Durga says it’s natural because I had a marriage night. Anurag responds, “Get lost; I’m so disgusted by you,” turning away. I may never return to this house, but I have a feeling you will bring me here eventually, says Durga.
Anurag admits, “I used to love you, but have you considered my status?” Durga’s antics have brought your status down significantly. Despite this, Durga hands him the key, but quickly discards it, declaring, “I will never touch anything that has been touched by you.” She insists, “You must keep it as evidence of our love. You can always wash the key.” Reluctantly, she presents it to him and adds, “We may not cross paths again.”
After hearing everything, Rajesh exits. She begins to leave as well, but pauses to inform Anurag that she’s heard about his impending marriage and thinks it’s a positive decision. Anurag replies with a question, asking if she expected him to mourn their relationship forever. Durga assures him that she always wished for his happiness and advises him to accept whoever he chooses to marry. With that, she departs from the scene. Meanwhile, Anurag quietly sheds tears and wonders how their marriage could be disregarded so easily by Durga. As she walks away, Durga reflects that while their ties have been severed today, her love for him will remain eternal.
Rajesh approaches Bai explaining his inability to accept the situation. Inquiring further, Bai asks for clarification. Savitri then advises Rajesh to address his family issue in the privacy of his own home. Rajesh mentions that he saw Durga with Anurag and questions her whereabouts. Durga, who is present, defends herself by clarifying that she was openly conversing with Anurag and sees no reason to hide it. Rajesh remains puzzled as he observes the exchange.
