Anurag visits Durga, who is taken aback by his presence. Curiously, she inquires about the reason for his visit, and Anurag responds that he wants to ask about her well-being and see what arrangements his family has made for her. Durga gratefully acknowledges that having a place to stay in this new city is a huge relief. She admits regretfully that she wouldn’t have had this opportunity if she hadn’t spoken up yesterday, even though it meant going against Vikram.
Anurag assures her that his father’s opposition was not solely directed towards her. However, Durga pleads with him not to go against Vikram for her sake. Anurag clarifies that his perspective on Vikram has shifted upon discovering the truth. He shares that he will depart for Jodhpur for his exam and suggests that she take precautions, refrain from venturing alone, and turn to Anubhav if necessary. Durga responds with a casual remark.
As Anurag passes an envelope filled with cash to Durga for emergency purposes, Panibai unexpectedly appears. Questioning Anurag’s actions, she reveals that she had been searching for him all morning and assumed he would be with Durga. She remarks on the situation with a touch of sarcasm, but Anurag responds quickly and sharply.
In the meantime, Vikram has a meeting with Dr. Vikas, the medical college’s principal. During their conversation, Vikram brings up a tragic, raging incident that unfortunately led to the death of a student. Dr Vikas confirms this and reveals that the police arrested seven individuals, and the victim’s family received compensation. Additionally, Vikram mentions being aware of an investigation against Dr. Vikas and offers assistance in handling it.
As a favour, Vikram requests that Dr Vikas prevent Durga from being accepted into the college. He informs Dr. Vikas of Durga’s involvement in her husband’s murder and how she left the village for Delhi to study medicine against the wishes of the villagers. Dr. Vikas agrees to assist and assures Vikram that he will not disclose this information to Anurag, who is set to start working at the college as a resident doctor.
Upon returning to the house, Panibai presses Anurag for more information regarding the envelope. He clarifies that it contains funds intended for Durga. Panibai demands that Durga hand it back, but Anurag stands his ground. He boldly questions why she is unwilling to return any of the assets gifted to her by their grandfather.
Panibai, feeling insulted, accuses Anurag of equating her to Durga. Undeterred, Anurag confidently affirms his stance and persists in their disagreement. However, Durga advises Anurag to drop the issue and concentrate on his exam. Despite some hesitation, Anurag ultimately concedes and departs.
Following his departure, Panibai cautions Durga that to remain in the household, she must maintain positive relationships with all members. Additionally, she reveals that Vikram has begun actively seeking a bride for Anurag, hinting at Durga’s standing among the family.
