Anurag helps an injured Durga into his car and gazes at her with sadness. As she regains consciousness, he reassures her by saying, “I am here.” She responds with self-deprecation, stating that she’s a bad girl and he shouldn’t waste his words on her. Anurag disagrees and reminds her of the suffering she has endured. Durga then pleads for relief from the pain and expresses her desire to end her life. But Anurag refuses to accept this and promises to assist her. He assures her that she has already endured enough and does not have to suffer any longer.
Anubhav mentions he will let Vikram know. Anurag reveals his plan to take her to the hospital. Meera advises Mohan to say they were celebrating Diwali together if anyone asks. If questioned about Durga’s whereabouts, state you didn’t see her. Mohan expresses disgust towards Rajesh. Meera acknowledges his feelings and reminds him to protect himself for now. She then accompanies Anurag.
Anurag is driving Durga to the hospital with Meera and Anubhav. Upon their arrival, he immediately seeks assistance. Grateful for his help, Meera expresses her gratitude. However, Rajesh’s man observes them and considers informing Rajesh. Meanwhile, the doctor examines Durga and joins Anurag. Anubhav reassures Meera that Anurag will save her and suggests she head home before Rajesh becomes upset in her absence.
Meera has reached her limit and no longer cares about the consequences of standing up to her abusive husband. She feels compelled to stay with him because she sees Durga as a daughter. Anubhav agrees that the husband is evil, especially after hearing about how he has already physically harmed Durga. Meera believes that, eventually, Durga will find the courage to speak out against their forced marriage. This revelation takes advantage of Anubhav.
The man informs Rajesh that Anurag has brought his new wife to the hospital. This news shocks Rajesh, who reveals that his first wife was also there. The man expresses disgust over how shameless it is for another man, even if he is a prince, to bring her in his arms and disrespect her as another man’s wife. The man then adds that he also learned that Rajesh’s first wife had sought help from Meera and taken her out of their house with the support of the villagers. This infuriates Rajesh further, and he vows to punish the villagers involved.
Meera informs Anubhav that Durga was compelled into marriage with Rajesh and never held any romantic feelings for him. Anubhav responds, “I was aware.” Meera expresses her concern for Durga’s well-being, to which he reassures her, “Don’t worry; she is a fierce survivor.” Anurag and another physician are attending to Durga, with the former stepping out to retrieve an injection.
After waking up, Durga assures Anurag that the situation was not her fault, but he remains unconvinced. She expresses her hope that he can find happiness and move on. However, Anurag is saddened by her words. The doctor advises them to keep Durga overnight for observation, to which Anurag agrees to cover her treatment costs.
Rajesh informs his companions that he will be heading home. One of the men playfully asks if he is already missing his newlywed wife, prompting Rajesh to slap him and sternly tell him to be quiet. He reminds his men that while Anurag may be a prince, he must not lay a hand on his wife and will face consequences for such actions. Additionally, he declares that he will quit Vikram’s job and see how the village can function without him.
Anurag comforts Durga, assuring her she is not alone in her pain. She reveals her fear of being beaten and begs to be taken home. Anurag inquires which home she means, but urges her not to cry, promising that no one will harm her anymore. Durga expresses self-blame for betraying him due to the inability to walk after their love marriage. An emotional Anurag apologizes for not realizing the issue sooner and promises to protect her, shedding tears for his beloved.
