Anurag informs Durga that he is now with her. He leaves her room after the nurses tell her we must move her. He informs Anubhav and Meera that Durga is now doing well. Anubhav pulls him aside and informs him that ever since their wedding day, Rajesh has been abusing her. Anurag declares that she will murder him if he attempts to harm her once more.
Anurag is upset and questions how Meera could confidently carry her to the hospital. Why did they have to take her to the hospital in the first place, his man asks? That doesn’t matter, Rajesh claims; I offered her a chance to live, but she chose not to, so I won’t spare them. I will never spare anyone who attempts to bring disgrace to me. I married that girl out of sympathy, but she must pay for it if she wants to play with my honor. From there, he departs angrily.
Durga is transferred to an observation room. Anurag arrives and inquires about her well-being. She assures him that she is feeling better now. He expresses remorse for the pain he caused her but asks why she didn’t speak up about the torture inflicted by Rajesh. Durga explains that no one would have believed her. Even her own family doubted her. Anurag apologizes and admits to the hurt he is in. He asks why she chose to do what she did, knowing it would devastate him. Durga remembers Rajesh’s blackmail and confesses that she had an affair with him. Anurag refuses to believe it, but Durga insists it is true. She realizes she cannot share the truth with him and acknowledges that society sees her as Rajesh’s wife.
Chandini and Bua engage in an argument. Mohan arrives and inquires about the commotion. Bua informs him that Durga has left the house and asks why he wasn’t aware of it. Mohan dismisses her concerns, stating he doesn’t care about his wife’s whereabouts. Rajesh then approaches Mohan and demands to know where he is. Mohan defensively responds that he was inside the house all along. In anger, Rajesh slaps him and vows to hold Meera and Durga accountable for their departure from the household.
According to Mohan, you were also absent, thus making you partly responsible. Rajesh informed me that you took Durga and Meera from the house. Mohan confirms this and explains that he had to rescue Durga because she was in danger of dying if she stayed confined. Rajesh, as Durga’s husband, becomes furious and physically attacks Mohan. However, Mohan supports his decision, stating that Durga’s well-being outweighed her role as Rajesh’s wife. This leads to Rajesh continuously beating him.
Bua beseeches him, but Mohan maintains his fearlessness. Rajesh inquires about their whereabouts, to which Mohan responds that Anurag had taken them to the hospital, and he returned home. The severity of her injuries could have been fatal. Rajesh questions if he has seen her condition for himself, causing Mohan to scold him for inflicting such brutality. In retaliation, he physically attacks Rajesh. Chandini interjects warningly, stating that Mohan will face imprisonment if he dies. Heeding her words, Rajesh ceases the altercation and instructs Mohan to remain at home before departing himself.
When Durga expresses her desire to return home, Anurag responds, “Are you crazy?” You could have died; thus, you can’t return to this state. That would have been preferable, according to Durga. Don’t say that, says Anurag. If not, Durga says, I must return. According to Anurag, I’m going to chop his hands, and he’ll beat you up again. Durga claims that we are no longer in a relationship and that you won’t do anything.
Anurag’s heart aches upon hearing the news. He reminds himself that he is human first and wonders how someone could do such a thing to him. Durga advises him not to get caught up in the situation and encourages him to concentrate on his studies before leaving. Anurag reaffirms his desire to help the villagers, but Durga reminds him of his promise to study more and urges him not to interfere in her life. She believes their lives are vastly different, so he should focus on keeping his promises.
