When Savi slips, Ishan catches her and holds onto her. He reminds her to put in effort while working, but she can’t help but think that having a negative person like him around makes it difficult for her to do so. Noticing her pensive expression, Ishan asks if he said something wrong. Savi denies it, and they both move on to finish fixing the remaining posters. Savi is exhausted enough to sit on a nearby bench by the time they’re done. Ishan notices her exhaustion and inquires about it. Savi disregards his genuine concern and instead mentions their dislike for his mother. She wonders if he has any fond memories of her at all. Ishan says that even pleasant memories turn bitter when hatred takes over one’s heart.
As a child, he used to play with his parents all day in their old house. He recalls the incident and says his mother promised never to leave him alone, but she did. Then Savi inquires as to who lives there now. Ishan says no one lives here, he hasn’t visited that house for 20 years, Shantanu hasn’t sold it, and he doesn’t let anyone go there but occasionally visits it.
He asks him to take his mother back to their old house. She messages Shantanu to find his old house.
After reading the letter, Shantanu heads towards the house. As Ishan and Savi approach the old house, he recalls Ishan running around to feed him food as a child. As Isha walks around the house, Ishan gets emotional. Shantanu tries to stop Ishan, but Ishan continues. Ishan shakes Shantanu and gets her out of her imagination, saying they are in their old house. Ishan sees Ishan and pleads with him to come to her.
Ishan backs off. Isha breaks down. Isha continues to plead for Ishan and loses consciousness. Ishan leaves. Shantanu and Savi move Isha to a room. Isha opens her eyes after a few minutes. They are in their old house, Shantanu says. After he finishes some vital work, he says he’ll return in a short while.
Upon arriving home, Shantanu tells Yashwant and Surekha that he has chosen to remain in his previous residence with Isha. They both express their dissatisfaction with Isha’s influence on Shantanu. He explains that she has been struggling due to Ishan’s behavior, and since Ishan does not want her there, he plans to support her by staying with her. Surekha reminds him of the harm Isha has caused them and asks if he is unaware of her selfishness. Shantanu acknowledges her concerns but insists that it no longer matters as he prefers living in a world of his imagination for the rest of his days. Despite their argument, they continue to disagree.
He tells Ishan that he was in this house for Ishan, but he is leaving once he knows Ishan is big enough that he doesn’t need him anymore. When he reaches Isha, he informs her of his decision to stay with her. Isha says she doesn’t need him anymore and says he should stay with Ishan instead. Ishan enters the room and says he came to apologize to her and her son even though they might not need him. Shantanu says she and her son may not need him, but he needs them both until she fully recovers.
