Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein 9th August 2024 Written Episode starts with a tug of war between the Thakkars and the Bhosales to decide whether Savi and Rajat’s wedding should follow Gujarati rituals or Marathi traditions. The Thakkars win, and Bhagyashree along with her children celebrate by performing garba, declaring that the wedding will now happen in pure Gujarati style. Rajendra then announces that Rajat and Savi’s Gordhana and Sakharpuda ceremony will take place the next day. Isha is furious and storms back into her home, unable to accept the decision. Bhagyashree tells Riddhi to invite her Jayanti mama to join the celebrations.
Rajat reaches home and says the wedding should be kept secret, otherwise Ashika and Arsh will create trouble. Bhagyashree reminds him that he will spend his entire life with Savi, and although Sai will eventually grow up and move on, Savi will remain by his side and look after him. Rajat says he is marrying only for Sai’s sake and refuses to celebrate anything until Aman is released from jail. He promises he will punish the person who trapped Aman.
Lucky overhears him and panics. He immediately pays his friends to take the blame on themselves. His friends question why he is so scared. Lucky tells them Rajat has hired a detective and will not stop until he finds the culprit, and Lucky does not want to face public humiliation.
At the Bhosale home, the family sits together to prepare the guest list and make arrangements for the engagement. Isha continues watching Gujarati wedding videos to understand the rituals. Suddenly the doorbell rings, and Mrunmayee becomes emotional when she sees her mother Latha. Latha walks in with Savi and explains she called Savi to pick her up from the station. Isha thanks her. Latha says she could not stop herself after hearing about Savi’s wedding. Mrunmayee breaks down, but Latha reassures her, saying she knows her daughter is innocent. Harini cheers them both up and says they will need Latha’s help to perform Gujarati rituals since they have no experience. Mrunmayee agrees wholeheartedly.
The next morning, the Thakkars begin preparations for the engagement. Jayanti mama arrives with his wife and daughter to lively Gujarati music. Bhagyashree and her family dance garba as they welcome them inside, while the Bhosales appear irritated by the noise.
At the same time, Ashika tells Arsh that she saw Rajat and Savi together outside the family court. Arsh immediately senses something is wrong and wonders if they are secretly marrying. He tells Ashika to meet Savi and find out the truth. Sai overhears and insists that Ashika take her along because she wants to meet Savi and Rajat. Ashika promises to bring Savi home so Sai can meet her there, then sends Sai with the nanny. Arsh warns Ashika that Sai seems more connected with Rajat and Savi and she needs to regain her daughter’s trust.
Rajat meets Aman at the police station and tells him about the upcoming wedding. Aman asks him not to worry, saying the inspector is taking good care of him. The inspector signals a constable, who brings Aman home cooked food. Rajat jokes that people say money should be saved, but in this case, money is the one saving them. He mixes single malt whiskey into cold drinks and shares it with Aman. Aman laughs and says they are having a bachelor’s party inside jail. Rajat tells him it is only a marriage of convenience. The inspector teases Rajat about marrying again, but Rajat says he is only marrying for a purpose. The inspector wishes him luck for his second innings, though Rajat says this marriage holds less value than a chocolate wrapper since it is being done for Sai.
Later, Mrunmayee and Harini tease Savi about Rajat. Savi brushes them off, saying she is doing everything for Sai. She then notices Sai’s drawings and calls Ashika. Ashika is surprised since she also wanted to talk to Savi. Savi requests her to send Sai to school the next day since there is an art class and Sai loves drawing. Ashika agrees and asks where the engagement is happening. Savi says everything is happening so quickly that her father is handling all the arrangements. Ashika becomes suspicious, believing Savi does not want to invite her.
Meanwhile, the Thakkars sit together to play cards. Jayanti mama’s wife comments that Savi not having children is a good thing because she can give all her attention to Sai. Jayanti scolds her for saying such a thing. Rajat immediately clarifies that Savi loves Sai like her own child, which is why she agreed to this marriage. The woman says she is eager to meet Savi. Jayanti says she can meet her during one of the Marathi rituals tomorrow. Bhagyashree suddenly becomes sad. When Jayanti asks why, she admits she is missing Sai.
Precap: Rajat tells Ashika he is marrying someone who is a thousand times better than her for Sai’s sake. During the engagement, Rajat and Savi forget to bring rings, so Sai gives them paper rings and joins their hands together.
