Surekha informs Savi that Durva has been attending college for years without complaint. However, ever since Savi joined, Durva has started receiving complaints, and therefore, Savi is being seen as the main issue. She also mentions how Reeva, who is innocent like a cow, knows how to keep the family together and does not cause any drama despite everything that has happened. In contrast, Savi caused drama at college, and because of this, Surekha declared that she would no longer attend college. Savi argues that she is being blamed for something her family did wrong and asserts that she will not let anyone ruin her dream. She makes it clear that she will continue attending college no matter what. With this, she walks away.
Surekha inquires with Ishaan about the individual he brought home, referring to her as an ignorant and uncultured girl who is impoverished and disrespectful towards elders. She expresses her dismay upon witnessing Savi insult Yashwant and urges for an apology from Savi to Yashwant. However, Ishaan refuses and stands firm on his decision that there will be no apology from Savi. This prompts Yashwant to question Ishaan’s statement. In response, Ishaan mentions being present during the incident and witnessing how Durva caused trouble for Savi. He also emphasizes that they are all aware of Durva’s potential to cause harm; therefore, Durva should apologize. He further assures that he will not interfere with Savi’s education, as he had promised her sister he would support her in all aspects of life. He understands the value of education for Savi and will not ask her to give it up. Surekha questions if it is worth hurting their family for this girl, but Ishaan stands by his decision not to convince Savi to stop studying. Instead, he suggests that she take a break from college until the reception ceremony. With that, he walks away from them.
Savi remembers the wisdom spoken by Surekha. Ishaan accidentally knocks over her belongings as he enters her room. He immediately apologizes and attempts to store them in his cupboard. However, she intervenes and reminds him that he should not meddle with her possessions if he cannot honor her aspirations. She expresses her frustration with the current state of her life, stating that even her pursuit of education seems to be failing. Ishaan advises her that when everything goes wrong, she should refrain from making matters worse; instead, she should show respect for her elders, particularly Surekha who recently suffered a heart attack. He encourages her to come to him for support whenever she faces difficulties.
Surekha told Savi to stop her studies when she saw his face. Surekha told her she insulted her and Yashwant, but she is staying in the house because of Yaswhant’s words; he’s supporting his family, not hers. Having been hurt by him recently, Ishaan doesn’t want her to attend college until reception and won’t stop her studies, but he won’t let her. As Savi walks away, she says she won’t stop going to college.
He offers her tissue paper as she recalls everything that happened that day. He asks her why she resigned from college, why she left a London job because of him, etc. She remembers all the incidents that occurred today. She says he used to wipe her tears by himself and not offer her tissue paper; he has accepted his wedding and wants a reception with Savi.
Ishaan explains that he wants the reception to happen to ease tensions. He assures Savi that she can stay in the house until her sister recovers. Curious, she wonders why he hasn’t told his family about this plan. He admits that his family might not understand and may cause more difficulties for her. Savi then asks why he is telling her if it will only complicate matters. Ishaan responds by saying she is his closest friend and he will always support her. She then questions the nature of their relationship, to which Ishaan wishes her good night as it is getting late. Savi wonders if she asked a difficult question he doesn’t want to answer. Ishaan clarifies that the situation has become so complicated that he can no longer answer her.
She recalls Surekha and Ishaan’s words and decides it won’t matter if anyone tries to stop her. Ishaan returns to his room and makes the bed for himself. He turns off the lights and falls asleep.
