This earns disapproval from Dadu. Intrigued, Ranbir questions why Dadu opposes the idea, recalling the situation with his aunt and her Bengali husband.
Meher insists on letting the issue go. He acknowledges that it was a mistake but also wants to point out that it was not entirely his fault. Zoravar reminds everyone that our culture differs from others. Ranbir declares that he is willing to forgo marriage if it causes any trouble among them. Harman urges them to see things from Ranbir’s perspective and accept his choice of partner. Ranbir then mentions Chandan’s profession. Dadu concludes that they may not be well-off financially, while Dadi assures them that this is not an issue for their family. With a confident tone, Ranbir revealed his feelings for a certain girl and shared her contact number. Playfully, Param and Harman teased him in response.
Meher brings the pakodas for everyone and then turns to Ranbir, asking him how much he likes the girl. He replies, “Don’t ask me. Go see her for yourself.” Meher nods in agreement. Harman inquires if she has contacted them yet, to which Meher responds with a no. Simran expresses concern about Mr. Sethi and how they will refuse the proposal.
