Ranbir admits he prefers traveling solo and then asks if she attends the masked dance festival.
Meghla confirms that her parents have their origins in Kolkata, and they have arranged this plan. The other person inquires if she has received training in singing, to which Meghla responds that she is currently taking lessons. He compliments her performance, comparing it to a professional singer’s, but she humbly denies being on par with one. He clarifies by saying he thought she was a well-known singer, having seen a video of her singing on social media. Meghla is caught off guard and asks for confirmation, while the other person insists it was her singing “Albela Sajan.” Meghla explains that someone must have recorded her practicing at her guru’s place and uploaded it without her knowledge. Mahua interjects, wondering how they will find Meghla since she doesn’t have her phone. Adrija expresses concern over Meghla’s apparent carelessness in keeping track of important belongings.
Chandan states that Meghla is not interested in keeping or using a phone. Mahua expresses concern about locating her before the day ends. Ranbir muses that many people recognize her, to which Meghla explains that she sings because she enjoys it. He predicts that she will achieve fame as a singer, but she clarifies that becoming famous is not her goal. Instead, she aims to improve her singing skills every day. Ranbir is impressed by her unique mindset and compliments her for being young yet having different thoughts. He expresses his pleasure at meeting someone like her.
According to Meher, she fell asleep, and Ranbir called her. Param finds this funny and asks what happened. Meher explains that she believes it was all a dream and requests Param to contact Ranbir. He reassures her, but she is still upset. Finally, he agrees to call Ranbir and does so. However, there seems to be a network problem, and he suggests that Meher try calling later. She insists that Ranbir should have called her instead since he knows how worried she is. Param understands and replies that his mother would have worried for him similarly. Meher adds that all mothers are like that – constantly worrying about their loved ones.
He expresses his gratitude, acknowledging her role in bringing him here and looking after him without distinguishing between her children and him. She inquires if he has spoken to his father, to which he responds that while his stepmother is kind, he still feels like a guest in their home. She reassures him that everyone cares for him and urges him to stay. He credits her for giving him hope. She promises to try to contact Ranbir before leaving with a smile on his face. Meghla then asks who told him about her age.
Ranbir chuckles and observes, “So you’re still studying, huh?” To which she replies, “Not anymore. I completed my BA last year and haven’t pursued further studies. My sister, Adrija, on the other hand, excels in academics. She’s always the top student and has an amazing memory. I’m sure she’ll achieve great success.” Ranbir offers her some water, but she declines. He remarks, “You’ve said a lot in one go. You truly adore your sister.” With a nod, she responds, “Absolutely. I should get going now, and it’s getting late.”
Maa requested that I not stray too far, as it would upset her. He kindly offered to give me a lift since we were both staying at the same resort and he had his bike parked nearby. However, I declined and insisted on walking. He reassured me that he was not like other boys and understood my concerns. I assured him that I never doubted his decency, to which we both smiled.
