Raghav stands alone, reminiscing about recent events when Sharda suggested that Unnati marry Dhruv. Suddenly, Unnati appears in a stunning bridal outfit. Curious, Raghav asks what’s going on. With a hint of sadness, she reminds him of his long-held dream and tells him she is ready for marriage. However, he insists that she not marry Dhruv and that he will use his wealth to find her a suitable partner. Unnati responds that she wants a life partner, not someone to be bought like a toy. She fears that if she marries due to the video controversy, her husband may not give her the respect she deserves.
On the other hand, if she marries Dhruv, he will see her as an equal partner. Unable to bear the thought of her future being controlled by others, Raghav pleads with her not to go through with it. But Unnati calmly explains that she wants to live with dignity and begs him to understand her perspective as she has never asked for anything.
In the morning, Sharda took swift action against all her cooks. When Raghav arrived and inquired about the situation, she explained that she had discovered a hair in the food and could not take any chances with their health. Raghav responded with a smile, acknowledging Sharda’s protective nature towards them. He then suggested they visit Dhruv’s house with a shagun. Surprised, Sharda asked if he was serious, to which he nodded in confirmation.
Reet urges Dhruv to prepare for his trip to Delhi. He questions Unnati, to which she responds that he attempted to do so, but they rejected his proposal, so it’s best to move on and focus on his own life. Just then, their mother calls for them.
Raghav and Sharda arrive at Reet’s house bearing numerous gifts. Curious, Reet asks about the reason for their visit. Sharda responds by revealing that they have considered Dhruv’s proposal and have decided to accept it. She then presents a shagun to Dhruv’s mother for their future wedding. However, Raghav clarifies that the shagun is not for Dhruv and Unnati but for Reet. The sudden revelation catches everyone off guard. Raghav explains that he wishes to marry Reet as it will guarantee her happiness and ensure that their family also takes care of Unnati. He proposes that when Reet becomes his wife, Unnati can seek shelter in their house as a “guarantee card.” This statement enrages Reet, who questions if Raghav considers her a commodity to be bought in a transaction.
Sharda explains that the proposed arrangement is not a typical business deal but an “atta-satta,” a longstanding tradition where two marriages occur between families. Reet firmly states that she will not consent to this as an educated woman. Raghav adds that his sister Unnati will only marry Dhruv if he agrees to the proposal. Dhruv expresses concern for his sister’s well-being, and Reet assumes he suggests swapping spouses. Trying to reassure them, Sharda urges them not to see it as an insult; their only desire is for these marriages to occur.
Reet assures Unnati’s happiness but cannot accept her in her current state. Raghav insists that Reet will marry him at any cost, to which she very clearly declines, no matter the circumstance. She then requests for him to leave, but as she turns around, she slips. Luckily, Raghav is there to catch her. As they both lock eyes, Reet advises him to put aside his pride and go away. She also warns him not to harm her brother ever again. However, instead of heeding her words, Raghav glared at her and threatened that she would regret her decision. To this, Reet calmly replies that only time will tell. With anger still visible, Raghav storms off with Sharda by his side.
Upon Raghav’s return, Unnati inquires about the response to their proposal and whether any engagement gifts were sent. Sharda, visibly upset, blames Raghav for ruining their reputation as the other party rejected the proposal. Unnati questions why this happened when Dhruv had expressed interest in marrying her. She defends Raghav, stating that he only proposed atta-satta (exchange of brides) as a formality, but it backfired when they refused due to his demand for Reet to marry him as a guarantee.
Raghav expresses that Unnati is his top priority, and he requires reassurance. Sharda suggests he should have requested Dhruv move in with them after the wedding. Raghav explains that he worries Dhruv wouldn’t receive proper respect in their home. Upon witnessing their argument, Unnati tearfully intervenes and walks away. Sharda accuses Raghav of hurting her feelings. Raghav assures her that he will find a more suitable partner for Unnati. Sharda remarks on his excessive confidence.
Reet expresses her frustration to her family, stating that she has no intention of forgiving Raghav. Her cousin Smitha suggests that she should take his wealth and looks into consideration. Her chachi adds that every girl dreams of marrying someone like him, which could change their lives. However, Reet’s lack of a good job and father is brought up. Chacha intervenes, telling Chachi to stop speaking and reminding everyone that Reet is their daughter.
According to Chachi, the proposal should be considered beneficial for her. But Reet firmly states that it is a matter of self-respect for her. Her mother agrees, saying that the man only wants to use her as a guarantee. Despite Chachi’s argument that the guy is wealthy and that it will improve their lives, Reet stands firm in her belief that money cannot outweigh self-worth and that she will not marry him.
