The episode begins as the clock strikes midnight. Reet wishes Raghav a happy new year, but he brushes it off and walks away to take a call. Reet, determined to earn his forgiveness and make him feel special, plans a heartfelt surprise.
Raghav returns to his room to find it beautifully decorated. Reet wishes him again. Raghav questions if this is her way of thanking him for saving her. Reet sincerely thanks him, but Raghav walks into the washroom silently.
Inside, Raghav struggles to apply medicine to the wounds on his back. Reet offers to help and questions why he hid the injuries. She says she can’t sleep without someone wishing her a happy new year. Raghav teases that she might be awake all night, then allows her to apply the medicine. Afterward, he quietly walks out.
The next morning, Sharda prays to God, wishing Reet would leave the Suryavanshi mansion. When Reet joins her, Sharda pretends concern over Raghav’s injuries while passing judgement on Reet.
Elsewhere, Dhruv is lost in thought. Unnati is upset that he didn’t wake her to wish her a happy new year. Dhruv explains he is still thinking about the incident from the day before.
Reet urges Raghav to join the morning aarthi to please Sharda. Initially hesitant, Raghav surprises everyone by showing up. Sharda praises Reet for convincing him and asks them to do the aarthi together.
Later, in the kitchen, Poonam notices Reet looking cheerful. Reet shares that she’s likely getting a job at a reputed news company. Sharda overhears and disapproves, claiming Reet’s job brings danger and disgrace to the family.
Meanwhile, Unnati shows Raghav a video call of the Chowdary family preparing her favorite calorie-rich dishes for the new year. Raghav and Sharda are surprised they knew her preferences. Poonam reveals Reet had told them, wanting to make the occasion special for Unnati.
Reet prepares turmeric milk for Raghav’s injuries. Sharda insists he only drinks smoothies made by her. Divya turns it into a playful competition. Raghav tastes Reet’s milk and admits it’s good—thanks to the added vanilla essence—but diplomatically adds that Sharda still makes the best smoothie. He drinks both and leaves.
Toward the end, Reet asks Sharda to give her permission to resume work. Raghav walks in and asks what’s happening. Reet tells him that she’s seeking approval to take up her job again as a reporter.
