Jagriti mentions Geeta to Durjan and the others. Since Jagriti solely calls Geeta “Mamma,” she tells everyone that Mamma encouraged her to seek an education and that she isn’t scared of being a Chitta. Concerned about Jagriti, Bindi yanks her away and threatens to discipline her. Durjan remembers Kalikant warning him.
Bindi expresses her frustration to Harish about Jagriti’s constant discussions about education. In response, Jagriti asks Bindi why she is upset with her for talking about this topic. Bindi explains that she has witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of education in their community, mainly due to Geeta’s actions. She warns Jagriti that if their leader Kalikant were to find out about her thoughts on education, there would be severe consequences, and no one would be able to protect her. Urging Harish to intervene, Bindi implores him to help Jagriti understand the danger of entertaining thoughts on education. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Harish reflects on Geeta’s past actions and advises Jagriti to let go of any ideas regarding education.
Jagriti and his friends discuss what she said about education. They agree that education is bad, so their parents tell them not to think about it. Kachori arrives and tells Golu that Jagriti believes education can bring them respect. Golu warns Kachori not to take Jagriti’s side, or he will complain about her to their mother.
In the evening, Nanda inquires Durjan why Jagriti has the liberty to speak and act. Durjan invites her to join him and points out the moon, comparing it to education for Jagriti – an unattainable goal. Nanda mentions that earning Rs. 100 is equally challenging, yet Jagriti succeeded. She cautions that education will result in Durjan losing his dominance over the community. This provokes Durjan to burn her hand on a hot pan in retaliation. As he departs, he remarks Nanda’s words before walking away angrily.
As Jagriti gazes at the twinkling stars, she converses with her mother. Kachori soon joins them, and Jagriti voices her frustration about how Harish and Bindi refuse to understand her desire for education. Kachori suggests that she convey it to Harish as Mamma did with her. Inspired, Jagriti resolves to introduce Harish to Mamma so she can emphasize the value of education to him. But Kachori raises a valid point – how will they accomplish this if Harish is immobile? Then, Jagriti catches sight of some children playing with tyres, sparking an idea within her.
With Kachori’s help, Jagriti removes the tyres from a four-wheel cart at the junkyard. After waking Harish the next morning, Bindi asks Jagriti where she is since she last saw her the morning before. As Jagriti arrives with the other children, she proudly displays the wheelchair she built for Harish to the whole community.
Harish is given the wheelchair by Jagriti, who explains that she constructed it so he could go with her to meet Mamma, who would discuss the value of education with him. Durjan mockingly compliments Jagriti, claiming she has created a wheelchair for Harish and may perhaps give him wings. “It would be wonderful if you could make wings for Harish,” Jagriti responds. If Harish had wings, Durjan cautions, he would need to prevent them from breaking or being destroyed by an eagle.
