During the meeting, Riddhi suggests providing six months’ advance salary to all the employees who were laid off and offering them job opportunities in their sister company. Kanchan is taken aback, while board members argue that such a decision could lead to significant losses. Kanchan sides with them. A board member opposes the layoffs, prompting Vicky to challenge his stance. The board member insists that the loss of trust cannot be compensated, even with a twelve-month severance. Riddhi demands the list of dismissed employees, and when Mr. Sharma informs her that there are 1,200 names, she immediately adds his name to the list, making it 1,201. Shocked, Mr. Sharma tries to defend himself, but Riddhi firmly declares that anyone who questions her mother has no place in this world. She then asks if anyone else wishes to speak against her mother before concluding the meeting.
As the meeting disperses, Vicky fumes over Mr. Sharma’s audacity. Riddhi explains that her mother’s decision was incorrect and that the board has issued a notice. She points out that in a public limited company, the CEO must have board support, which her mother has now lost. Kanchan wonders why Riddhi would undermine her own mother’s position, but Riddhi reassures her that she is not at fault. She recalls her mother’s words when her father abandoned them. Riddhi insists she is not to blame and urges her mother to take her medicine. She orders Vicky to step out despite his concerns. As Riddhi consoles her emotionally shattered mother, she reminisces about staying by her side as a child when she couldn’t sleep.
As Kanchan drifts off, Riddhi reflects on her past, concluding that if anyone is responsible for their suffering, it is none other than Pramod Saxena—her father. She recalls pleading with him not to hurt her, but ultimately, she holds him solely accountable.
Meanwhile, Neel sits with his mother at night. He asks why his father is still awake, and she replies that he’s waiting for his son, who returned home with a torn shirt. Neel seeks his mother’s help, unaware that his father is watching. His sister mentions that they don’t realize the owner of the house is observing them. When Neel’s father confronts him, he scolds both Neel and his sister. Neel pleads for leniency, revealing that he has secured a job at a prestigious company thanks to a wealthy grandmother who handed him a business card. His father is skeptical, fearing Neel was deceived, but asks for the woman’s name. Neel, however, has forgotten to ask.
The grandmother, Parmeshwari Chodwani, declares that while Kanchan may be the MD, she is the true head of the household. When Riddhi suggests postponing discussions, Parmeshwari insists that she’s concerned about their family’s future. She jokes that Riddhi is not only uninterested in marriage but is practically “marriage-intolerant.” She then announces that a priest has recommended a ritual for Riddhi, but Riddhi refuses, citing important meetings. In response, Parmeshwari theatrically declares her wish to die, prompting Kanchan’s frustration and Riddhi’s shock. When Riddhi urges her not to speak of such things, Parmeshwari demands her presence at the ritual. Reluctantly, Riddhi instructs Vicky to cancel all her appointments for the following day, leaving Kanchan worried.
Neel later receives a call informing him that his interview has been postponed. He steps outside, reflecting on the woman who promised him a job. His mother asks what’s wrong, and he explains the delay. His father warns him that such delays often lead to cancellations. He then insists that Neel assist him as the assistant priest is out of town. Neel protests, emphasizing his focus on securing a managerial job, but his father reminds him that defying him would come with consequences. After his father leaves, Neel’s mother comforts him, assuring him of a bright future. As Neel holds his father’s old slipper, he vows to achieve success and make his family proud. His mother, deeply moved, embraces him warmly.
The next morning, Riddhi and her family travel to Trimbakeshwar. Meanwhile, Neel’s father worries about being blamed for others’ mistakes. As Riddhi’s family arrives, Neel busies himself adjusting his traditional attire. His father greets Kanchan and Riddhi warmly. Just then, some boys flying kites accidentally injure Kanchan’s nose with the sharp string. They flee, leaving Neel holding the string. Riddhi, shocked and furious, sees her mother’s blood and recalls childhood memories of witnessing her mother’s suffering. Enraged, she turns her piercing gaze toward Neel, who stands stunned by the unexpected turn of events.
