Jamai No. 1 16th January 2025 Written Update opens with a heated confrontation between Neel and Lokit. When Lokit warns Neel to stay out of his relationship with Riddhi, Neel responds sharply, saying there’s nothing between them and demands Lokit leave. As Lokit tries to approach Riddhi, Neel loses control and beats him up. Lokit leaves, vowing revenge, determined to make them suffer.

Riddhi, distraught, questions Neel’s violent actions. She explains that Lokit is her only hope left to fulfill Parameshwari’s last wish—getting married before her death. She insists she must convince Lokit. Neel cuts her off, criticizing her for being willing to humiliate herself. He demands to know how she can stoop so low and compromise her self-respect.

Riddhi, breaking down in tears, says she feels like a failure. She shares how Parameshwari raised her with love and how powerless she feels for not being able to fulfill her grandmother’s one dying wish. She weeps, fearing she’ll lose Parameshwari. Neel consoles her, urging her to fight with dignity rather than beg someone like Lokit. Meanwhile, Lokit swears to destroy Neel, calling him his enemy and deciding to stay in the city out of revenge.

At the hospital, Parameshwari’s condition deteriorates as her blood pressure drops. Neel pleads for five minutes alone with her, believing emotional strength might work better than medicine. As Riddhi begs Parameshwari to wake up, Neel suddenly declares that he deserves respect—after all, he’s about to become her future son-in-law. This shocks Riddhi. Neel jokes that Parameshwari is insulting her Jamai No. 1.

Miraculously, Parameshwari regains consciousness, holding Neel’s hand and smiling. She acknowledges him as her Jamai No. 1 and asks if he truly plans to marry Riddhi. Neel promises her that he will. Overjoyed, Parameshwari blesses them and thanks God. Riddhi, though confused, asks Parameshwari if she’s genuinely happy. Parameshwari assures her that Neel will keep her happy and stand by her side always. Internally, Neel affirms he’ll fulfill the responsibility of being her husband, no matter what.

Parameshwari insists on a court marriage the next day and tells them not to inform Kanchan. Riddhi agrees, and Parameshwari emotionally tells them never to let go of each other’s hand. Neel holds Riddhi’s hand and leads her out of the room.

Soon, Kanchan arrives with her family. Riddhi greets her with a hug, while Pratham aggressively questions Neel’s presence. Riddhi calms everyone and inquires where Kanchan had been. Kanchan claims she visited a hospital and temple to pray for Parameshwari’s health. Then, she arrogantly orders Neel to leave. Pratham sides with her, warning Neel not to overstep.

Riddhi defends Neel, telling everyone that he was the one who brought Parameshwari to the hospital. Kanchan, unimpressed, mocks Neel’s efforts and sarcastically suggests giving him a gift and sending him off. Riddhi asks Kanchan to meet Parameshwari, and Kanchan goes inside.

Alone with Neel, Riddhi rehearses her gratitude and approaches him. Just as she starts to thank him sincerely, Neel interrupts and reminds her of the ₹6 crore marriage deal, bringing her back to reality.
