Jamai No. 1 20th January 2025 Written Update begins with Kanchan confronting Parameshwari for encouraging Riddhi to marry Neel. She expresses her disappointment, saying she wanted Riddhi to marry someone from a suitable background. Furious, Kanchan vows to stop the marriage and storms out, calling Kamlesh to inform him of everything.

Meanwhile, Riddhi and Neel are at the registrar’s office. Neel reminds her to read the contract terms carefully to avoid any misunderstandings in the future. Riddhi bluntly states that this is not a real marriage but a six-month contract marriage, after which they will go their separate ways. Neel agrees, reinforcing that it’s purely transactional.

Riddhi lays down the rules—Neel is not to get close to her or interfere in her personal matters. Neel jokes if she’s hiding a dark past like a murder. Riddhi retorts that her past is off-limits, but he must answer her questions without hesitation. She emphasizes that he is just her employee, and this arrangement comes with strict boundaries—he has no access to her property or business. Neel accepts, saying the ₹6 crore compensation is enough for him.

Riddhi warns him not to misbehave with Kanchan or Pratham, to which Neel replies that he will only respond if they trouble his family. Riddhi adds that any breach of contract will lead to immediate termination and legal consequences.

Neel then flips the situation, asking what happens if she breaks the rules—for instance, if she falls in love with him. Riddhi dismisses the idea, stating that love is for the weak and she is anything but that. She then orders Neel to sign the marriage contract.
