Jamai No. 1 23rd April 2025 Written Update begins with Neel in complete shock as he learns that Manjari is pregnant and that Pratham is the father of her child. Unable to control his anger, Neel tells Manjari that she is dead to him from this moment onwards.
Just then, Pratham arrives home. In a fit of rage, Neel grabs him and begins beating him brutally for getting intimate with his sister. Riddhi and Manjari rush to stop Neel, pleading with him to calm down. Manjari cries out that she genuinely loves Pratham. Hearing her words, Neel finally lets go of him, though the anger in his eyes remains unchanged.
Kanchan witnesses the scene and immediately twists the narrative. She loudly accuses Neel of trying to kill Pratham. Riddhi and Pratham both try to stop her from escalating the situation, but she refuses to listen. Kanchan phones Sumati and accuses Neel of behaving like a goon and attacking Pratham. Sumati defends Neel and says he never acts without reason.
Riddhi and Pratham again plead with Kanchan to stop creating chaos, but she continues shouting. She goes as far as ordering Riddhi to abort Neel’s child. Sumati begs her not to say such things. Kanchan storms away, vowing that she will not spare Neel.
Later, Riddhi approaches Neel and apologises for hiding the truth. Neel thanks her for protecting Manjari and admits he misunderstood the situation. He confesses that he initially thought Riddhi was having an affair with Shaurya and was carrying his child. Riddhi explains that Shaurya is just a friend and she only meets him casually.
At that moment, a servant enters and informs Neel that the police have arrived.
The police tell Riddhi that they are here to arrest Neel on the charge of attempting to murder Pratham. Riddhi calls the allegation baseless and tries to explain that it is a family matter. But Kanchan interferes again and insists the police arrest Neel immediately.
Pratham steps forward and stops them. He tells the inspector that Neel did not attack him and that he simply fell down the stairs. The inspector accepts his statement and leaves. Kanchan furiously confronts Pratham for disobeying her.
Manjari and Pratham then approach Neel and beg for forgiveness. Pratham promises that he will set everything right by marrying Manjari. Neel becomes even more adamant and warns him that he will never allow this marriage to happen.
