Jamai No. 1 24th December 2024 Written Episode begins with Riddhi mocking Neel, warning him to come down from his dreams, as she’s about to bring him crashing to the ground. Neel, optimistic, claims his dreams are just beginning to come true. He reminds her how she once burned his car for touching it, and now she’s picking him up in her own vehicle. He insists on sitting in the front seat, where he finds some letters, and gets excited seeing the sunroof. Waving like a superstar, he pops out to greet children in the neighborhood.
Pandit Ji tells Archi to see how Riddhi herself came to pick Neel. Archi, deeply concerned, fears for her son’s safety, especially after Riddhi’s threats. She prays to Lord Mahadev for Neel’s protection. Pandit Ji tries to calm her. Meanwhile, Neel attempts to get back into the car, but Riddhi starts closing the sunroof. Panicked, he pleads with her as he begins to struggle for air. Riddhi finally relents, and Neel, shaken, accuses her of trying to kill him. She coldly replies this is just a trailer of his life ahead—he will only speak, breathe, and act on her command. She welcomes him to Chodwani Winyards and Company.
Elsewhere, Partham panics as his mother Kanchan doesn’t respond. Suman is told to call a doctor, but it’s too late—Kasey announces that Kanchan has passed away. Parmeshwari threatens retribution if anything happens to her daughter. Just as panic spreads, Kanchan opens her eyes. Partham hugs her in relief, telling her she didn’t wake even after repeated attempts. Parmeshwari and friends worry over her condition. Suman discovers sleeping pills were consumed. Kanchan urgently asks if the postman arrived, and on learning the letter was sent to the office, she rushes out, fearing the letter might ruin everything if Riddhi reads it.
At the office, Neel, still holding the letters, exits the lift before Riddhi, who sharply reminds him to follow her lead. Neel dreams of a hero’s welcome but is snapped back to reality when hit by a peon. He bumps into Vicky, who mocks his attitude. Vicky tells Neel that while he was a lion in his own town, here he is nothing. Neel takes it sportingly but is informed Vicky will handle his performance review. Neel objects, citing Riddhi as his boss, but Vicky clarifies she’s the senior boss, while he’s the immediate superior. He warns Neel about settling an old score after orientation. Neel, feeling surrounded by enemies, decides to endure for the sake of his family’s responsibilities and prays to Lord Bappa for strength.
Back at home, Kanchan yells at the workers for sending letters to Riddhi’s office without her review. The staff explains Riddhi left early to pick up Neel. Kamlesh hints it was intentional, prompting Kanchan to worry. Parmeshwari suggests Riddhi has probably already read the letter, but Kanchan denies it. She storms out, leaving Partham confused by her erratic behavior.
In the office, Vicky questions Riddhi’s decision to hire Neel, warning she might even make him MD. Riddhi asserts she will, but reminds him she only promised their grandmother to hire Neel—not to keep him long. She vows to fire him at the first mistake, even if it means going against their grandmother. Vicky observes that Riddhi is becoming just like her.
Neel, looking for his cabin, is shown a tiny corner room by the staff. As he settles in, Mahinder from admin enters to inspect his bag. Shocked, Neel learns new employees are searched for sharp objects. Mahinder shows him photos of past HR managers who tried self-harm. Neel prays for protection, realizing working under the younger Chodwani is difficult—but facing the elder one might be worse.
Neel creates a small mandir on his desk and prays sincerely for strength and success, hoping to impress everyone at work. Meanwhile, Riddhi starts reviewing the letters. Neel, noticing one addressed to her, contemplates whether handing it over might improve his chances. Unaware of its contents, he believes this gesture might help secure his position.
