Jamai No. 1 9th January 2025 Written Episode begins at the hospital, where Neel learns from the receptionist that Parameshwari’s treatment can’t proceed without a family member’s signature. He asks to charge his phone, and once powered, he attempts to call Riddhi. However, she has switched off her phone in anger. Neel, disheartened, thinks Riddhi will regret not being present in Parameshwari’s time of need.
Neel then calls Kanchan, who rudely scolds him for disturbing her. When he informs her that Parameshwari has suffered a heart attack and is admitted to City Hospital, she is shocked. Meanwhile, Neel consults the doctor, who explains that they’ve done their best but Parameshwari remains in critical condition. Neel mourns how the woman who always longed for Riddhi’s presence now finds herself alone.
Neel’s parents, Sumati and Gangadhar, rush toward the hospital. Unsure of the location, Sumati calls Neel to ask which hospital he’s in. Just as Neel begins to respond, Kanchan storms into the hospital and slaps him, making him drop the phone. She lashes out at him for admitting Parameshwari to what she calls a “cheap” hospital. Neel, furious, calls out her shallow mindset—reminding her that hospitals are for saving lives, not preserving social status.
Kanchan remains stubborn, insisting that the hospital should reflect her elite standards. Neel, disgusted, tells her that Parameshwari is fighting for her life with no one by her side. He accuses Kanchan of being emotionless, living only for appearances and wealth. He blames her for turning Riddhi into a machine devoid of emotional connection and claims that her financial dependence on Riddhi is why she sabotaged the marriage proposal. He holds her responsible for Parameshwari’s heart attack, calling her mentality, not the hospital, substandard.
Provoked by Neel’s words, Kanchan loses control and tries to strangle him, threatening to kill him. Neel stands his ground, refusing to be intimidated. At that moment, Sumati arrives and slaps Kanchan, leaving everyone stunned. When Kanchan questions her, Sumati fearlessly declares that she would fight even God for her son. As Kanchan attempts to strike back, Neel steps in and warns her never to touch Sumati again—proudly calling her his mother.
Fuming with rage, Kanchan swears revenge on Neel’s family and storms off. Neel asks if she won’t even see Parameshwari before leaving. He vows to stay by Parameshwari’s side no matter what.
