Jhanak 18th December 2024 Written Episode Update begins with Arshi telling Jhanak not to create drama. She says she is not taking Anirudh with her and asks what Jhanak is trying to prove by insisting he stay behind. She says Jhanak trusts him, so why the fuss. Jhanak replies that her reason is something else. Arshi says she knows Jhanak thinks her parents will try to convince her otherwise, but no one needs to accompany her. She walks away.

Lal insults Jhanak, which angers Anirudh. He argues with Shubh when Bipasha asks if Jhanak is blackmailing him. Anirudh says no. Tanuja presses him again, and he repeats that nobody is forcing him. He explains that Arshi is leaving the house alone and that he feels responsible for safely dropping her home. Jhanak asks him to take care. He nods and tells her to take care as well before leaving.

On the way, Anirudh tells Arshi that he feels helpless because he must fulfil his responsibility towards her. Arshi says Jhanak is his love now. Anirudh says he is still doing the right thing by standing by her one last time. She asks him to stop pretending, saying it is not required anymore. He silently apologises in his thoughts, unable to explain the real reason behind everything.

They reach Arshi’s house. Shrishti asks if Arshi deserved such treatment. Arshi tells her not to blame Anirudh. She says Anirudh confessed that he wants to marry Jhanak and spend his life with her, and no one can force him to stay in a relationship he does not want. She says she gave him the freedom he wanted. She breaks down in front of her mother.

Anirudh says Arshi can say anything to him. Shrishti calls him shameless and says he will never find happiness. Arshi asks her mother to calm down and says she will not be happy if Anirudh is unhappy. Vinayak says he always supported Anirudh but this time he is wrong. He says Anirudh will realise it eventually. Anirudh replies that he does realise it, but he has no other option.

Shrishti asks why he needs to marry Jhanak. Arshi asks her to stop embarrassing her further and says Anirudh can live his life however he wants. Anirudh says he still has responsibility towards Arshi. Shrishti says their family will take care of her. Vinayak says he agrees with Shrishti and reminds Anirudh that he loved Arshi and married her, and now he is leaving her.

Meanwhile, Tanuja, Bipasha and Lal continue blaming Jhanak and plan to throw her out before Anirudh returns. Vinayak tells Anirudh that Arshi is right, their marriage was never registered and he considers himself free. Arshi says since they lived in a live in relationship, she has no claim on him anymore. Shrishti is stunned and asks if Anirudh really said this. Arshi says yes, and that hearing the truth was painful but necessary.

Anirudh says he never wanted to hurt Arshi but he is helpless. He finally says out loud that he loves Jhanak. Lal is shocked. He says when they tried to separate Anirudh and Jhanak, Anirudh risked his life to bring her back. Lal and Bipasha console Tanuja who breaks down.

Anirudh says Jhanak did not deserve the insults she faced at home because she never received respect. Shrishti says he wants to marry her just to give her respect. Arshi tells her mother to stop. Anirudh apologises again. Shrishti threatens him with punishment. Anirudh says he is willing to bear it. Arshi says she will not punish him and will attend his wedding if he invites her. She tells him to leave because Jhanak must be insecure that he came here.

Anirudh says Jhanak’s reason for sending him was something else. Arshi asks him to go. He leaves.

The next morning, Aditya calls Anirudh and says they must act quickly to save Jhanak. He says he spoke to a man close to Kul, and has learned that Kul’s men plan to kill Jhanak, just like they killed her father. He warns that she is not safe at that place. Anirudh asks what they should do. Aditya advises keeping her at home. He says if Kul’s family hears that Anirudh is marrying her, they might hesitate to harm her because they fear she may file a strong case. He tells Anirudh to marry Jhanak and make sure the news spreads. Anirudh says he cannot live under such tension and adds that Jhanak has every right to fight for justice.

Jhanak overhears this conversation. Anirudh says it is her right to fight for her father’s justice.
