The episode unfolds with Anirudh and Jhanak professing their love for each other. As they share a tender moment, the song “Baahon ke darmiyaan” plays in the background. Anirudh gently draws closer to her but is abruptly shaken out of his trance when he wakes up. To his surprise, Jhanak is peacefully asleep beside him. He calls out to her and asks if she can join him. She apologizes and offers to go back to her room, but Anirudh’s fever has risen again and he insists that she stays with him instead of fetching medicine. He pleads to hug her, referencing the story of the nightingale and asking for her help as a sick man. She finally relents and reciprocates his embrace.
Just now, he says he saw a dream. She says she had one, too. He asks what you saw, but she says I can’t tell. He says it was the day of our fake marriage. She asks why. He asks who controls dreams. What did you see? She says I can’t say. You have a fever. I’ll just come. He says no, stay with me. He lies in her lap. She says you should sleep.
It’s not right, he says. I’m trying, I’m shivering, I don’t get sleep. He hugged her. She said no, that’s not right. He said we’d discuss it later, I feel it’s my last night with you, maybe I won’t be alive tomorrow. She says no, I’ll take you to the doctor. He says you’re going to have an exam tomorrow. Jhanak prepares for her exams and heads to Anirudh’s room. She tells him she will attend college for her exam and asks him not to come along. He reassures her, saying he will rest as his fever is not improving. Jhanak mentions the doctor will visit, but he tells her not to worry as the fever will subside. He informs her that he has booked a ticket for both of them to return tomorrow. Jhanak protests, saying she cannot be given away like property, but Anirudh insists that she stay in their house with police protection. She reminds him of their agreement, but he denies any such promise and wants her to always stay by his side.
She says it’s not right. He says you can’t change now and must keep your word. She says we’ll talk after I finish my exams and come. He says it’s final. She asks him to have breakfast with her.
Shrishti tells Arshi, ” Anirudh isn’t here for your sangeet in three days.” Arshi says you know everything. Shrishti says your father must know it, defending Anirudh. I didn’t force Arshi and Anirudh to marry, he says. She argues with Shrishti. Arshi asks if I should cancel the marriage. Shrishti says the decision is yours, but don’t blame me. Arshi responds, “Don’t get involved in my life then.”
I doubt Anirudh if you’re happy together. Shrishti asks how you can say this. If you’re happy together, I wouldn’t have said anything. He says he will marry Jhanak. She says he’ll get him and Rahul here. He says that’s good. I know him well, and he thinks I won’t tolerate anything snatching Anirudh from me. He says Anirudh loves you. Arshi says Anirudh pities Jhanak, and he doesn’t love her.
