The episode starts with Shubh and everyone coming home. Shubh and Tanuja scold Anjana and Chotan a lot and insult Jhanak. Bipasha teaches them that they should have seen Arshi’s performance with us. Jhanak wants to compete with Arshi, but does she want a trophy here? Anirudh asks Arshi to finalize the clothes. Arshi selects it. He says my account will get empty today. She says we are done. Buying a Banarasi saree is the last step. He asks her to purchase a red Banarasi saree.
Arshi smiles and notes that the price is steep. He reassures her that it is worth her happiness. He then requests the shopkeeper to show them their best saree. After checking the price, he takes charge and declares they will purchase it. The shopkeeper adds that it would look lovely on Arshi. She thanks and reminds him to check if they have forgotten anything for Appu. He remembers Jhanak and asks if everything has been taken care of. Arshi confirms that she has already bought a dress for Appu. However, he recalls Jhanak’s presence and worries about handling the situation since she should also be dressed nicely for the puja. Jhanak explains that she was unaware of Arshi’s performance, to which Chotan defends her by stating that they had forced her to dance. Appu interjects with an argument.
Shubh and Tanuja scold Appu. Anjana asks Appu to go to her room and not say anything. Shubh argues with him, saying Chotan and you can do anything, but this girl is an outsider. He goes and buys a saree for Jhanak. He asks him to do billing and packing separately. Arshi calls him out. She asks him to wear red kurta, they should twin in the puja. He says anything you say. He says I have to check my mail. She says yes. He goes and pays for Jhanak’s saree.
Shubh says this shouldn’t happen again. Jhanak cries. Appu says she’ll dance, and she dances better than Arshi. He shouts and leaves. Jhanak hugs Appu. Anirudh wonders if I did anything wrong. He pays the bill. He gets the bill. Anirudh tells Arshi to take the bags to the car. Arshi asks where your work phone is. He apologizes. They leave after he makes the payment.
Appu asks where my gift is. Bipasha likes the gift. He says Arshi chose it. Chotan promises to get you shopping next year. Tanuja thanks Anirudh.
He says I got a saree for Arshi, which she liked. Tanuja then mentions the importance of maintaining a certain standard. Appu realizes that his gift is missing, but Rumi saves the day by giving her dress to Appu. He decides not to show it to anyone. Tanuja admires Anirudh for his thoughtfulness, and Anjana expresses her love for the saree. Dadi asks if he also bought presents for the servants, to which Anirudh responds that he already bought them clothes. Tanuja then inquires about the bill, and Anirudh reveals it cost 1,40000 rupees, shocking everyone. Jhanak observes the situation silently. Tanuja comments that his salary is enough to cover their expenses and asks if Lal would do the same for them with his teacher’s salary and only afford a box of sweets. Anirudh interrupts her, while Lal offers to contribute if needed, but Anirudh declines, stating that these gifts are solely for his family and not about money. Appu then asks if he bought anything for Jhanak, too.
Anirudh catches sight of Jhanak while Tanuja reminds him to focus. Appu chimes in, expressing concern for Jhanak’s feelings. Jhanak mentions that the table is set, and Anjana invites everyone to eat. However, Tanuja insists on asking her to leave. Bipasha clarifies that Jhanak will only stay for a few days while Dadi instructs them to clean the house before the puja. Jhanak agrees and leaves. Suddenly, Appu’s dad jumps in with a suggestion to buy a dress for Jhanak, which Appu immediately concurs with. But Tanuja reminds them of their family responsibilities before getting emotional and arguing with Anirudh. Meanwhile, Anirudh sees Jhanak on the stairs and later approaches her privately with new clothes for the upcoming puja.
