She shows the bill to Anirudh and says, “Jhanak made you wear this ring, so you lied to me.” Arshi confronts him about the ring Jhanak gave him. Tanuja asks what’s up. Dadi tells him to tell the truth. Lal asks why you made such a fuss over such a small matter. Getting angry and arguing with them, Anirudh says, “Enough, don’t mess with my matters.” He asks them to let Jhanak live in peace.
Arshi claims she publicly gave me the gift while secretly giving you yours. He explains that during the Ashirwad rasam, she would have given it to me if she hadn’t left early. She then mentioned that you refused to wear this ring simply because I requested it. He questions if you would give up dancing if I asked you to. She scolds him for disrespecting her and reminds him that dance is her passion, whereas the ring holds no significance for him. He defends his choice and refuses to remove the ring, declaring that you did not buy it. Arshi exclaims that he must be out of his mind. He challenges her, asking if she would call off the wedding over a mere ring.
Tanuja asks why you always say this. Appu asks Anirudh not to remove the ring and remember Jhanak. Arshi says you and your sister insult me. He shouts. Arshi gets angry. Anirudh says I won’t change. You have to accept me as I am. You can’t take away Jhanak from my mind. This ring is a gift. I’ll take it off when I want. It’s my last decision. Am I clear?
Appu applauds for him as Arshi exits the room. Anirudh retreats to his bedroom and dials Jhanak’s number. Upon her answer, he inquires about her well-being. Jhanak returns the question, asking if he is doing alright. He responds by expressing his belief that things could be running smoothly on his end. She probes further, prompting him to admit that he is struggling to focus on anything since she left. Sensing his unease, she asks if something happened because of the ring and urges him to tell her the truth. He confesses that others have noticed the ring and explains the difficulty of explaining it to their family members’ conservative views. Jhanak takes responsibility for giving him the ring, but he assures her it is not her fault.
Suppose I forced you to take the ring. He says I told you I would wear it forever. She says it’s wrong. He says, forget it, let me handle it, this ring symbolizes our relationship. He regrets that I can’t tell you this. Jhanak says I didn’t understand, and the train has no signal. He repeats his words. She says I can’t hear your voice. She says we didn’t accept the truth and did a drama. He says you think so. She says yes.
She asks why it was different for her. He says I got emotional and told a lot; it wasn’t a drama. He says I gradually understand that moment; it’s impossible to deny it. Why would I want to wear that ring forever? She says I can’t think of it; my life has much going on. In her opinion, I won’t let Anirudh fall weak. He will marry Arshi, and I will not interfere with your love.
The call disconnects. She calls him back to ask if he is happy. Why shouldn’t I be satisfied with my people here? He says there are risks. She says Tejas is not scary to me. They talk. He ends the call and thinks, “How can you forget everything? Fine, I won’t disturb you. Go to your friends and Rahul. I won’t call you again.” Anirudh and Jhanak think of each other.
As the morning light poured in, Jhanak prepared for her day and caught wind of an announcement. Her phone rang, and it was Officer Subhashish on the line. He mentioned Anirudh had spoken of her. He requested that she meet him outside the station so they could talk. Grateful, she agreed, and he informed her that Jhanak would be coming. She exited the station and waited patiently, thoughts of Anirudh racing through her mind. Quietly, she prayed before spotting the officer who didn’t fit the stereotypical Bengali appearance. He urged her to hurry as he had important matters to attend to after dropping her off. Once in the car, he called Tejas and informed them they were departing and that Jhanak was not as innocent as she seemed.
As Tejas says, take her phone and inform her to change the SIM card, then take her to where I told her to go. I’ve made all the arrangements, and the police will find her then. They leave. Jhanak asks the officer to drop her to her village. He says we’ll see where to go. She asks where I’ll stay. She wants details. He says you’ll be safe, don’t worry. He says I’ll tell you when the time comes, so give me your phone. She asks why.
You do not want Tejas to locate you. He says I have to put a new sim, everyone has this number, so you don’t want him to find you. Although I have all my contacts on this phone, she says yes. He says we are going to have the sim. Once this settles, we will return the sim and use a new sim. She gives me her phone. She says to keep her sim safe. She asks for her phone. He says it is a security issue, and we are responsible for your security. Anirudh has asked us to protect you, so follow my instructions.
