Jhanak 4th December 2025 Written Update begins with Indumati asking Dritimaan why he left the family without a word. Dritimaan tells everyone they will understand him only after hearing the truth. Dadabhai accuses him of abandoning his duties as a son and of leaving Sanjhbati alone. He adds that Sanjhbati still loves Dritimaan so much that she never married anyone else. He scolds Dritimaan for being selfish and asks why he returned after all these years. Neelu requests Dadabhai to give him a chance to speak.
Putul tells Dritimaan that their lives changed completely after he walked away. Dritimaan asks them to hear him out. Rishi then asks why he brought Sanjhbati inside with him. Dritimaan replies that Sanjhbati is his family. Sanjhbati angrily tells him to stop acting. Jhanak politely asks Sanjhbati to listen to what he wants to say.
Mishti interferes and tells the servants to go to the guest room to attend to visitors. The servants leave. Mishti then asks why Jhanak has not left. Rishi snaps and asks Mishti to stop. Arshi questions Jhanak’s presence again, but Aditi steps in and says it is fine because everyone is emotional due to Dritimaan’s return. Aditi says Jhanak may stay if she wants because she is like a family member. Aniruddh objects and says Aditi is giving too much importance to Jhanak.
Rishi introduces Aditi and her family to Dritimaan. He also introduces Jhanak. Dritimaan wonders why Aditi’s family questioned him. Arshi comments that they belong to a high class family, not a middle class family like his, so everyone wants to know about Aditi’s brother in law. Dritimaan says it is strange that people are interested in knowing what Aditi’s brother in law does.
Surjeet tells him to stop diverting and explain why he left home. Abhimanyu says he should have shared everything with his family. Tanushri tells him they had no answers for the questions people asked. Dritimaan says he knows they suffered because of him and that he came back to explain. He apologises to Sanjhbati for hurting her. He hands her a medical report.
Sanjhbati cries and asks what the report is. Dritimaan explains it is an old report and that he is fine now. She asks him why he did not tell her earlier and if he thought she would leave him after learning about his illness. Dritimaan says he did not know if he would survive, and he could not ruin her life when he loved her so deeply.
Rishi asks what the disease was. Sanjhbati says it was something with no cure. Indumati asks whether he came home for the last time. Jhanak tells Indumati not to panic since he said he is fine now. Dritimaan confirms this and says he left because he did not want to be selfish. He asks Sanjhbati if she will give him another chance because he wants to marry her. Everyone becomes emotional and happy.
Rishi confidently says Sanjhbati will agree and the wedding will happen. Jhanak says God has returned happiness to Sanjhbati. Dadabhai says Jhanak is fortunate to be part of their home. Dritimaan asks about Jhanak. Putul tells him she is studying medicine and staying in their house as she has nowhere else to go. She says she is sure Dritimaan will like Jhanak. Dritimaan says it is good that a sensible girl like Jhanak lives with them. Arshi warns that he does not know the full truth about her yet. Neelu insists he must know everything. Rishi tells her to stop. Neelu reveals that Jhanak forcefully married Rishi with the help of villagers. Sanjhbati tells him she will explain that later.
Indumati asks why he never told them anything and cries. Dritimaan asks her not to cry. Sanjhbati then says he will indeed be punished and that she has decided not to marry him. Everyone is shocked. She says she does not want to talk to him and tries to leave. Jhanak stops her. Dritimaan says she may punish him but must not leave him. Aditi pleads with her to stay because the anniversary celebration has not begun. Everyone asks her to agree to the marriage.
Indumati says Dritimaan returned because of his promise to Sanjhbati, and if she leaves, he will not survive it. Dritimaan begs her not to leave. Aditi happily tells Rishi that everything in their family is finally going well. Rishi quietly thinks that he loves Jhanak but cannot say it aloud. Jhanak thinks she is glad to see Rishi happy, but she reminds herself she is not a member of the family and has no right over his happiness.
Meanwhile, at Sanjhbati’s home, her mother worries that she may get hurt by going back to Dritimaan. Her friend reminds her that society always judged their family unfairly, and they should not judge Dritimaan. He says they must listen to his side. She picks up Sanjhbati’s call. Sanjhbati tells her mother that Dritimaan has returned and explains everything. Her mother warns her not to trust him. Sanjhbati says she trusts him and will marry him. Her mother, crying, tells her to do whatever she feels is right. Her friend advises her to trust Sanjhbati’s decision.
Later, Aditi gives her jewellery to Mishti and tells her to hide it. She says it is Arshi’s plan and that this will help them throw Jhanak out of their lives. She plans to send Jhanak to that room so she gets blamed. Mishti praises the idea and leaves. Aditi vows that Jhanak will soon be out of her life permanently.
