UV firmly warns him to leave and never show up again. Bairo happily accepts and walks away. Vandana, distressed, pleads with Bairo to return the money, but UV intervenes and tells her to let the issue end there. As UV walks off, Vandana breaks down emotionally. Seeing her condition, Naina and Katha rush to console her.

Katha, deeply affected by UV’s gesture, tells Vandana that even though UV has never truly accepted her as his wife, he still stepped in to help their family. Vandana, however, fears that Mohan will feel ashamed and burdened knowing UV helped financially.

Mohan soon calls Vandana, but Katha answers the phone. Katha informs him that UV cleared Bairo’s debt. Mohan becomes upset and abruptly disconnects the call. His reaction leaves everyone tense. Katha realises she now has to do something to return UV’s kindness.

Later, Katha enters her room, breaks her piggy bank, and collects every rupee she has saved. She goes to UV and insists he take the money back, saying she refuses to live under any obligation. She reminds him that since he has not accepted her as his wife, she owes him nothing. As she turns to leave, UV grabs her hand and stops her. There is a long silence before he pins her against the wall and demands she repeat her words. She calmly reiterates that she will repay every penny.

UV becomes agitated and snaps at her. He accuses her of being influenced by Eshwar and suggests she may run back to him for help again. Hurt, Katha firmly states that she will earn and return the money through her own hard work. She asks why he insists on helping her while refusing to acknowledge their relationship. Her question hits him deeply. UV finally expresses his frustration, telling her that she always misunderstands him, misreads his intentions, and forces him into situations he is not ready for. He walks away, leaving Katha stunned.

Katha pleads with him not to leave, worried that Mohan will again feel insulted. But UV, exhausted and hurt, asks her to define what their relationship really is. She has no answer. A neighbour lets her fill her bucket first, and UV overhears her telling Kesar uncle that she wants to request the government to ease the water problem for the neighbourhood. Moved by her concern for others, UV follows quietly and even saves her when she nearly slips. Their eyes meet in a soft, emotional moment.
