When Bhavani calls Amruta out, she controls her emotions and says we will find a solution, so don’t worry. Amruta silently sobs. As Virat sits with the family, they are all awkward, so Anjali suggests playing antakshiri. Virat starts playing, but he doesn’t join. Babita says we should sing Punjabi songs. Rajiv whispers to Nimrit that they’re trying to cheer Virat up, but nobody gives her any attention since she’s not their daughter. Shekhar joins them there.
Babita requests Nimrit to sing, but she politely declines. Amruta suddenly shows up and asks for permission to enter. The group is taken aback by her presence. Babita expresses her disapproval, stating that Amruta has no shame returning after everything that happened. Amruta responds by asking if Babita is finished speaking. Virat chimes in, reminding them to speak with respect. Amruta retorts, sarcastically remarking that Virat must be an expert on the subject of respect. She then hands in her resignation, declaring that they are now equals. Heeding Babita’s words from earlier, Amruta acknowledges that their relationship is over and hopes to never cross paths again. With a final glare between the two women, Amruta exits and Virat storms out angrily.
Bhavani is seeking out Amruta and mentions that the medications have run out. Amruta returns home and reveals that she has resigned from her job. Bhavani inquires about the response she received. Amruta shares that there was no response after all that had happened. Jahan assures her not to worry, as she will find another job soon. Harsh remarks that she should have secured a new job first. Jahan reassures her that she will find another one soon, but also states that Virat was not worth it. Harsh expresses his disapproval of Amruta working at the same place, but acknowledges their current financial needs and mentions that he cannot work due to ongoing studies, placing all responsibilities on Amruta’s shoulders.
We should just move on, Bhavani says. Amruta says I had so many plans, but everything is messed up now. I feel like I won’t be able to achieve my dreams, but Bhavani says it’s all your father’s fault. Amruta says no… it’s my fate that’s cursed, I am not afraid of problems, but what about my fate? I can’t blame Baba or Virat when I have an ill fate. Aaji thinks she was responsible for all of this by cursing Virat so much. She leaves.
Shekhar and Virat are having a conversation about Amruta. Virat is upset and shows Shekhar some messages. He then reveals that he asked all the bankers to not give Amruta a job, causing her to resign. Shekhar questions this, stating that Amruta needs a job for financial support. He asks if Virat is purposely trying to make Amruta come back to him for help. Virat refuses to look at Shekhar and says he will tell his ex-banker about his intentions.
A friend calls Amruta and tells her she knew it, Virat would ban me so I would not be able to find a job. Her friend says Virat has called many people to not give you a job, so I cannot help you. If you need money, just let me know. As Amruta thanks her, she ends the call. She says I cannot lose hope. I have faced many hardships and I will overcome this as well. I have to trust in the Lord.
Virat approaches her, causing her to attempt to leave. However, he stops her and acknowledges his wrongdoing. “I went too far, didn’t I? I shouldn’t have crossed that line. I am prepared to make amends and apologize properly for my mistake.” He humbles himself by kneeling and saying, “I am truly sorry for my actions. I am ashamed and regretful of what I did. I promise never to repeat it.” As he rises back to his feet, he adds, “But you must vocalize your apology before I will consider lifting the job ban imposed on you by the banks.” He accuses her of degrading herself for money and warns her of the consequences of not apologizing.
Amruta admits her mistake. She had mistaken Virat for a compassionate person who understood others’ pain, but she realizes now that he is just a businessman who thinks he can buy anyone with money. While middle-class people face many challenges, they still have self-respect. Amruta stands firm in protecting her self-respect and has already chosen her path. As she turns to leave, Virat stops her and accuses her of making fun of him and hurting him by revealing his divorce to Aaji and leaking the video. Amruta responds by saying that she thought he cared, but now sees that he doesn’t. The two lock eyes with each other in an intense gaze.
