She suggests delaying the divorce until Amrita’s wedding, but Jayesh says it will happen, which angers Amrita. The judge says her parents should get divorced when she mentions that it should take place when her father repays her mother for all the things she has done for her.
When a delivery person asks Amrita where house 501 from A wing is, Amrita stands up to take it. Still, the delivery person identifies the residents as Jayesh Chitnus and Ishika Mam. She points towards the house, stating it is theirs, and she wonders how her father changed so fast after sending the court notice rather than paying for her mother’s treatment.
As Virat walks with Shekar, he asks him not to worry about what his aunt says as she is like this. Shekar replies that he is happy since everything has been sorted out, and even Nimrit is relieved. In agreement with Shekar that everyone is happy, Virat opens the car door for him when she asks him not to overact so much.
Shekar suggests that credit should even be given to his ABC since she listened to him and apologized to everyone. Virat expresses his happiness at the end of this problem after an entire day. It is, therefore, his duty to surprise her when Virat replies that the whole situation was brought about by her, so he should not do anything to help her.
As a street vendor came to Virat with some toys, Shekar asked him to grow up. Virat said he believes everyone should have a little bit of childish behavior, and the boy said he should find someone who is just as good as Virat. Shekar agrees and then prays that even Amrita should see his good side, as she only sees his bad side. Virat asks Shekar to leave, and he drives away while Virat looks around.
Sitting on the bench, Amrita begins to cry as she contemplates how she will manage everything in a month’s time. The current situation is far from ideal, and she turns to prayer, kneeling before the bench in search of a sign. As Virat playfully blows up balloons, Amrita is filled with emotion, and her tears turn into a smile. Joining the fun, Amrita eventually stands up and continues to pray. However, when she turns around, no one is there and she can’t help but feel that it was a divine sign.
While Amrita slowly walks away with a smile, Virat also goes back towards his house but stops thinking that he will surely be scolded for taking such a childish toy home, so he throws it in the trash. Amrita sees Virat walking, and she is furious, exclaiming that Mr. Virat has a special talent to make her furious even when he is not near her. She prays that he should find someone he must kneel in front of.
From behind, Virat asks Amrita who she is cursing, which shocks her. She unknowingly hugs him and becomes extremely tense. She then steps back and realizes it is him. When Virat asks Amrita if she keeps falling, she gets tensed and says she always gets furious when he is near her, which might happen after the notice period. After keeping quiet, she mentions she gets furious whenever he is near her.
Amrita says the wire stuck in her shoe has transformed her into a Christmas tree. Just as she’s about to stumble, Virat comes to her rescue and frees her from the wire. He pulls her before him and removes the wire while Amrita watches in amazement. Amrita then states that she won’t thank him, to which Virat responds that he doesn’t need gratitude, just some peace of mind. Despite his actions, Amrita knows she won’t be able to stay calm because she still needs to find the hidden switch in her dress that the designer placed there. However, Virat takes matters into his own hands and switches it off for her. He then tells her to leave, and they both go their separate ways.
In the morning, Jayesh’s lawyer presents the file to the judge, who says that if the marriage isn’t that old but they are both breaking their thirty-year marriage, the court will only hear their side after hearing their side. She asks Mr. Jayesh first to make his point since he filed the case. He says he has tried to maintain this relationship for the last thirty years but cannot hold it up, saying he married Bhawani under pressure from his parents, which she also knows.
He had hoped she would evolve, making it possible for him to introduce her to his friends. However, that change has not occurred, and she remains unchanged. He gestures towards her attire, which may have improved slightly due to her court visits, but the clothes at home are still inferior to those of their maids. Despite living in Bandra, she haggles with even the most minor vendors. Frustrated, he declares that he can no longer tolerate it. Jayesh also suggested that she take an English course, but she still struggles to pronounce even the most straightforward words.
Enraged, Amrita jots down her father’s words, declaring they are unsuitable for each other and expressing his bewilderment at how he tolerated her for so long. Jayesh defends his actions, stating that he has always prioritized the welfare of his children, which is evident in their successful careers as bankers and future medical students. He adds that she may have resided in his home for thirty years but took his children with her when she left. The judge announces it is time for him to decide and turns to Bhawani, asking if she has anything to add. Desiring a delay until after her daughter’s wedding, she suggests waiting to finalize the divorce so she can comply with whatever he wishes.
When Jayesh furiously says she will surely divorce him, Bhawani explains that the judge knows the society because no one would marry a girl whose parents have divorced, so she pleads with the judge. Jayesh asks whether he should not call such people illiterate since the world has reached the stars, and Amrita agrees, saying the world has indeed advanced, but some people still think the same way.
When the judge inquires about their parents’ divorce, Amrita agrees and explains that her mother should not blame her marriage for it. She further mentions that her father has acknowledged the penalty in the diary, which requires him to accept and appreciate his wife’s actions. Amrita adds that their father has supported them for years. Jayesh then asks about the penalty, and Amrita reminds him that they were both present at the wedding and that she had also done a lot for them. Confused, Jayesh questions what specific things she is referring to.
Amrita brings up the point that Bhawani made the food and mentioned that she didn’t have to pay for it. However, Amrita is concerned about her salary as a cook and how she has taken care of their studies by standing in line to get forms. She recalls that her mother went so far as to sell her jewelry to save her husband’s business, and now it’s only fair that he pays her back with current market value. After all, Amrita’s mother has worked just as hard in their household as any hired maid or worker despite being constantly compared to them by her father.
Amrita explains that while caring for their grandmother, she did the work of a nurse and staff, for which Jayesh would also need to compensate her. She did this even though her son refused to care for their grandmother. Jayesh is taken aback and asks what Amrita is referring to. She responds that he wants a divorce from a woman who has cared a lot for her, and now she demands compensation for the emotional and mental suffering her mother has endured. Bhawani wonders why her daughter asks for money, so Jayesh asks who would pay for such things. Amrita clarifies that she had never thought about it before, but now she believes that every housewife deserves some form of compensation for all they do for the family. Bhawani is amazed by this, while Jayesh is left in shock.
