Abhiraj approaches Bhavani, offering to store the food in their fridge. Virat arrives, whistling, and Amruta asks if she can keep food there. Virat teasingly says she does not need his permission as she will soon be the owner of the house. Amruta explains she was simply informing him. As they talk, Abhiraj secretly mixes a chemical into the poran poli and places it back in the fridge.

Amruta tells Virat she plans to run away from the mandap. Virat, shocked, asks why. She admits she can attend the other functions but refuses to take the pheras, insisting she does not want this groom. Virat retorts that he does not want this bride either. Meanwhile, Dildar enters the kitchen, finds the poran poli, and starts eating it. Shekhar warns him Babita will be angry, but Dildar finds it delicious and continues.

Kavita hands haldi to Amruta, who notices a ring inside it and is shocked. She tries to speak to Virat, but Jahan insists she stay with the family. Women continue applying haldi to Virat as the ceremony carries on.
