When Adi and Kavya arrive home, Malini and Anjali prepare things for them. Malini welcomes them and asks Kavya to hit the Kalash. He makes Kavya wear the ghunghat. Kavya hits the Kalash and walks inside. Malini guides her and asks Alka to get the aarti plate. Omi says you didn’t do this well. You put me in danger, so it’s okay. I’ll protect myself like this. Giriraj stops Malini. He says it’s my right to do the aarti. Anjali smiles.
Giriraj declares, “This house and family are now yours. You have a right to our sorrows and joys, and it’s your responsibility to uphold our traditions. Join us for the aarti.” Adi and Kavya participated in the puja as requested. Malini expresses gratitude to Giriraj, who jokes and laughs with her. She acknowledges his bravery in saving Kavya’s life. As she leaves, Giriraj’s mood shifts to anger. He reflects on his actions of sending goons after Kavya and devises a plan to stage an attack on himself. He instructs, “Don’t kill me, just give me a minor wound.” Pleased with his cunning plan, he admires his cleverness, saying, “I am amazed by my wits. Bravo!”
Malini gives Kavya a tour of the room while Alka looks on. She then instructs her new daughter-in-law, “Take some rest, my dear bahu,” before excusing herself. Kavya can’t help but smile as she starts decorating the room. Just then, she receives a call from Anjali. In a concerned tone, Anjali says, “There’s something important I need to discuss with you. I’m worried about you.” Kavya urges her to be direct and Anjali reveals, “Tonight will be your first night with your husband. As a wife, it’s your responsibility to please him and cater to his needs.” Adi overhears and grins at the conversation. Anjali adds, “So don’t push him away or kick him out of the room.” Adi quietly exits the room after hearing this advice.
“Anjali mentions that she has written a letter for Adi, advising him to read it and discard it afterwards. Adi acknowledges her words before Anjali ends the call. He searches for the letter but instead comes across Kavya’s nightie. Amused, he teases Kavya and comments on her mother’s luck with Mr. Bansal. Kavya playfully interrupts him, and they engage in a pillow fight, ending with them falling on the bed. Adi asks for a promise from Kavya, who agrees to make an eighth promise that she will never change and will always remain true to herself. They share a smile.”
Kavya approaches Giriraj, stating that she will provide the medications and promptly sends the nurse. Giriraj maintains a positive demeanour as Kavya reminds him of her conversation with Adi. He assures her of his changed ways and expresses his fondness for Adi, emphasizing how much he means to him. However, he admits that he still harbours some resentment towards Kavya but promises to make an effort to accept her as his daughter-in-law. She, in turn, reassures him of her commitment to the family and mentions their shared love for Adi. Giriraj agrees, and Kavya adds that she will support Adi in every way possible. She concludes by issuing a warning to Giriraj.
In his words, I wanted a girl like her for Adi, one who could be Adi’s wife and my bahu. Your work would be placed in the background. He thinks about who will fall first; let’s see. She goes. She says I’ll prove it, we’ll see, you can try hard, and I’ll be a good wife, bahu, and successful IAS. She goes. He smiles.
