Then Nandini stops Naren and says Visakha did not make the dish, but she did, and she returns to see everyone looking at her furiously. Aunt asks Nandini what did she do with the guest since he had to come ask for the marriage proposal, Nandini replies he was talking about dowry, but Kaki inquires if they asked her.
Kaka mentions that they would have talked to Naren as elders, but Mehul asks Nandini to leave and return home, Kaki mentions she was called to make the dish, but she ruined it all, Visakha also leaves after crying, Nandini walks away with tears in her eyes, and Kaka sits wondering what they will do next.
As Nandini steps off the scooter, she notices that Ishwar is sitting with Aunt and Mitesh. Bua questions her interference in others’ matters, reminding her of Shetal’s scolding over the phone. Ishwar attempts to stop Mami from replying, as he had suggested Nandini ask questions. Nandini explains that if she had been there, she would have understood how shamelessly he was asking for money and a car. Ishwar clarifies that they have no right to ask, it belongs to Hitesh. Mehul chimes in, agreeing with Ishwar. Nandini argues that he was still requesting money. Mehul reveals that Hitesh is willing to give it to him, but because of Nandini’s intervention, they might end up paying even more than initially requested.
As Nandini approached the well, she called out to her mother, wondering where she was. Her mother sat up and asked why she hadn’t fought back. Confused, Nandini questioned why her mother had left them all. Leaning against the well’s corner, Nandini wondered why her mother had given up so easily. After wiping away her tears, Nandini realized that defeat was not an option and vowed to continue fighting. As Naren drove by, he noticed Nandini sitting by the well. Thoughts of their family meeting flooded his mind, but he couldn’t help but smile at the idea of marrying a local girl from Upleta.
After being completely worn out, Naren collapses onto the bed in his room. However, despite his exhaustion, one person still occupies his mind – Nandini. He can’t shake the thought that he should see her once more. Just then, his phone rings and he answers to find his mother on the other end. She reminds him that he never got back to her about the meeting and insists on knowing what happened. Naren explains that after his car broke down, he had to charge it and was unable to respond earlier. His mother then mentions how he had told her earlier that he finished the work early and planned to meet the girl they were considering for marriage. Naren confesses that while the girl seemed normal in photos, he didn’t feel she would fit into their family dynamic. His mother disagrees and suggests giving her a chance. Feeling too drained at the moment, Naren asks if they can discuss this later since he is exhausted from the day’s events. Finally, ending the call with his mother, Naren collapses onto the bed once again.
Then Naren gets a call from Mehul who apologizes for going after being furious and informs Naren that Nandini speaks without thinking, but he suggests they can resolve the issue. He says Naren stays at the Green Sand Hotel and Mehul says he is still in Upleta and didn’t go to Rajkot, but he doesn’t know what he thought, so he should take it as a sign and come, and Mehul leaves excitedly.
Under the dark sky, Mitesh joins Nandini at the farm where she is seated. He expresses his concern for her, to which Nandini responds that she would never follow in their mother’s footsteps and jump into a well. Mitesh urges her to stop dwelling on such thoughts, questioning why she would have the need to do so. Nandini then reflects on how much strength it takes to simply survive, as it is easier to sink than to swim. Mitesh suggests that even if their mother accidentally fell into the well, she would have grown tired while trying to swim. He now realizes the truth of what truly happened.
Nandini says she won’t let anyone else suffer the same fate, Mitesh asks if they should go back otherwise Ishwar uncle would get high blood pressure, Nandini asks if their aunt said anything. He informs Nandini that she has not stopped talking, so Nandini explains that she isn’t bad at heart. Mitesh says she’s speaking about the key they’ve hidden. During Nandini’s memory, she remembers how they hid the key to their jewellery safe.
Mehul is attempting to persuade Naren that Visakha would make a suitable partner, as her parents have promised to fulfill all of his desires. However, Naren insists that he has already discussed the matter with his family and does not have any interest in Visakha. Despite Mehul’s arguments about Visakha’s character, Naren remains firm in his choice for Nandini. This incenses Mehul, who cautions Naren against making such a joke and dismisses the waiter. He then reminds Naren that he considers Nandini like a sister and urges him not to marry Visakha if he does not truly want to. Furthermore, he will not allow Naren to ruin the life of an orphan like Nandini. Naren seems unconcerned, envisioning this orphan girl as his future daughter-in-law for Rajkot.
