The scene opens with Susheela revealing that Jasbir had behaved inappropriately with Poorvi and urges everyone to spread the word. Sheela defends her son, denying any involvement. RV intervenes, dragging Ashutosh over by his collar and accuses him of causing Poorvi’s distress. He proclaims that Ashutosh has shattered all of Poorvi’s hopes and plans – she was even willing to leave behind her home, family, and aspirations for him – yet he was seen with another girl today. The revelation leaves everyone stunned as Poorvi breaks down in tears. RV calls for Ashutosh to approach them.
Prachi approaches Poorvi, who confirms RV’s statement about Ashutosh with a nod. Curious, Prachi questions Ashutosh and asks if he is not ashamed of his actions during his own sangeet. Admonishingly, Ashok proclaims that he cannot betray their virtuous daughter. Indignantly, Vishaka asks for his thoughts on the situation – on one hand he is marrying their daughter, yet on the other hand he behaves disgustingly. She points out that he presents himself as understanding and successful as a professor who saves money. However, she reminds him that a wife’s reputation is dependent on her husband’s actions, and if he were to have an affair with another woman, it would reflect poorly on her rather than himself. Detecting the smell of alcohol emanating from him, she accuses him of being drunk.
Prachi expresses her disappointment, Ashutosh, and mentions that Papa agrees with her. She questions the reasoning behind this alliance if you choose to behave in such a hurtful manner. Divya adds that it’s not just Poorvi, but all of them who had placed their trust in you by giving their daughter to you. However, you broke that trust. She asks if you aren’t scared of God for your actions towards their lovely and innocent daughter. Manpreet states that they no longer have even 1 percent trust in you after seeing how low you can stoop. Prachi adds that you took advantage of their love and trust, which is wrong. Now everyone falls silent. Vishaka wonders if your mouths are now closed.
Manpreet mentions that Poorvi had tears in her eyes for 2 minutes, leading some to defend their actions immediately. She then reminds Susheela of the day when they questioned my daughter-in-law’s character and values, asking her to confirm with Ashutosh. Suresh, Ashutosh’s father, urges him to speak up and reaffirms his belief that he is innocent. Ashutosh denies any wrongdoing. Susheela also stands by her son, asking others to do the same. However, Sheela, Beena, and other aunts begin accusing Poorvi’s family and demand that they cease blaming Ashutosh.
Beena voices her disappointment, saying that she never expected for Ashu to be accused by anyone. Another relative points out that Ashu himself denied any wrongdoing and asks if everyone now believes him. Prachi adds that they had heard his side of the story, but did not believe him. She confidently states that her daughter is telling the truth, while Ashu has been untruthful. She questions why a girl would lie about her husband and points out Poorvi’s changed demeanor, with her once joyful smile now gone and her dreams shattered. Prachi reveals that this is unlike anything she has seen Poorvi experience before, as Ashutosh has crushed her heart and dreams. Despite other family members trusting their son, Prachi remains adamant in not believing him. Suresh interjects, asking who exactly Prachi is choosing to believe since Poorvi always seems to be crying whenever he sees her. Susheela chimes in, claiming that Poorvi uses tears as a tactic against others. Sheela argues that those tears may even be fake at times.
Ashutosh is adamant that he did not do what I am sharing with you, Poorvi. RV, on the other hand, exclaims that enough has been said and no one should utter a word against Poorvi. Despite acknowledging that this is a personal matter, he claims to have witnessed Poorvi’s distress and can distinguish between those telling the truth and those who are not. Suresh attempts to interject but RV insists that everyone wait for Poorvi to gather her courage and reveal what she witnessed. He emphasizes that the tears in her eyes indicate how strongly she had linked her relationship with Ashutosh.
Sheela inquires about your arrival and questions if you are from the groom’s list. Another one of Sheela’s aunts mentions that your name was not on the bride’s guest list, prompting her to wonder why you are here. She then asks if you have come solely to sabotage the alliance. Prachi intervenes and defends the guy, whom she considers to be an angel. She firmly states that she will not tolerate any negative remarks about RV. Beena adds that whenever Poorvi faces an issue, he always comes to her aid despite not being invited. Ashutosh’s other aunt ridicules his behavior, stating that he is simply trying to ruin the alliance while everyone else sees him as an angel.
Susheela asks Prachi to inquire with Poorvi about RV’s constant presence. RV confirms that he will no longer stay silent since the spotlight is now on him. He asserts his right to speak and reveals how he always manages to find Poorvi. On the engagement day, he coincidentally discovered Jasbir’s plans and promptly called the police. At present, he has only come for a conference and not for Poorvi. He dismisses any talk of rumours or gossip and clarifies that they are not even friends, merely acquaintances. It seems like fate always intervenes when Poorvi is in trouble, leading them to cross paths. Susheela remains unconvinced by his explanations, convinced that RV is here to cause trouble and prevent Ashu and Poorvi from getting married.
Is that okay with RV? He says I respect women, I have mother, father, and sister, and I am not wrong. He says Poorvi is in this condition because she witnessed something and could only tell. Suresh says she doesn’t know anything. RV asks Ashutosh to tell everything. RV asks Beena if you’re threatening him. Beena says he’s honest and good. Aunt says Ashutosh is a cow, and you’re blaming him.
Suresh says I trust my blood completely. Sheela says my grand son can’t be wrong. Sheela says our mother liked Poorvi, so many alliances came for Ashu, but what to do. RV says you are dragging my name again and says I told you I had the right to say since it is my concern too, not just your family’s. Aunt says we have made a big mistake; you should take Ashu’s side and push RV out of here.
As Poorvi ponders RV’s words, he gestures for her not to break down. Speaking to Prachi, he assures them that he has already apologized and will handle the situation. Turning towards Poorvi, he inquires why she’s crying and offers her his handkerchief. This angers Ashutosh while Diya steps in to comfort Poorvi. RV insists that Poorvi take the handkerchief herself, cautioning her against letting others make her cry perpetually. Eventually, she takes it and dries her tears. RV then questions the reason behind Poorvi’s tears and reminds her to be grateful that the truth was revealed before it was too late. Suresh intervenes and asks Ashok to apologize and put an end to the matter, stating that they must not let this man continue to humiliate them any longer. He adds that they should feel ashamed because of their son’s actions. In response, RV points out that their son is the one causing them embarrassment.
Susheela claims that if this guy continues talking, blood will come out of her ears. RV adds that he hasn’t spoken yet and invites them to ask the guy directly about betraying Poorvi. He apologizes for speaking up in a low tone but insists that the guy’s response was also in a low tone, which led them to believe him. RV expresses his willingness to let them handle the situation on their own, but he is bothered by his name being wrongly brought into it. He understands if they accuse him of supporting Poorvi, but he would be hurt if anyone said anything negative about him.
