To make Durga happy, Ranvijay tells Vaiju to smile rather than cry. Vasundhara says they heard Ranvijay singing after a long time. Ragini explains that Ranvijay did not even sing a happy birthday song for Vaiju but sang for him. Jaya is upset about it. Ranvijay says that he couldn’t sing on such an occasion. There is a flashback to when Jaya and Ranvijay were celebrating their one-month anniversary, and she asked him to sing for her, but he refused.
Ragini prompts Vaiju to make a wish before blowing out the candles. Grateful for all she has received, Vaiju declines, but Jaya reminds her to ask God while closing her eyes. Remembering Ranvijay, Vaiju opens her eyes disappointed. Kaveri inquires about her wish, while Jaya warns her to keep it secret for it to come true. Despite her doubts, Vaiju feeds everyone cake, and Ranvijay returns the favour, making her smile. Arhaan announces his gift for Vaiju.
Relatives mention sowing plants on her behalf. Each family member, including Jaya, takes their turn planting. However, she once more becomes saddened. Ranvijay brings Jaya cake, and she expresses surprise at the fact that he sang for Vaiju. He admits feeling uncomfortable and potentially singing off-key. But Jaya disagrees, insisting he sang wonderfully despite never doing so for her. She speculates perhaps she never motivated him to sing. Ranvijay clarifies that he heard Vaiju longing for Durga, so he sang to remind her of being surrounded by loved ones.
Vasundhara tells Vaiju that she wants to give her a gift. She removes her gold necklace and helps Vaiju put it on. However, Vaiju hesitates, unsure whether she can accept it. Sulekha intervenes and rudely pulls the necklace off, humiliating Vaiju. Sulekha explains that they have already fulfilled Vaiju’s wishes, but it is inappropriate for her to wear jewellery from the Moide Patil family. Ragini attempts to stop Sulekha’s hurtful words, but she continues questioning who Vaiju is. Jaya reminds everyone that as Vaiju’s older sister, she has every right to be a part of their family.
Vaiju is the same as Vasundhara, Jaya, and Ragini in her eyes. As Vaiju stands feeling humiliated by Sulekha’s humiliating words, Sulekha tells her that Vaiju is Ranvijay’s sister-in-law and that she should not take anything from them. After asking for their forgiveness, Vaiju says she wants nothing from them.
As Ranvijay comes to Vaiju and asks her to defend herself, Vaiju says that Sulekha is suitable as Jaya’s sister and cannot stay at their home. Ranvijay drags her down and makes her stand at the door. He stands near Vaiju and says no one will question her about her rights. He holds her hand and takes her to Ranvijay’s room. Vaiju thinks she can come to his room at any time.
