Ranvijay comforts Jaya telling her that it’s not her fault. He wonders if Vaiju noticed the lipstick smudges. Vaiju sobs as she prays to Nandi Maharaj. He believes that I can’t take this much longer. Jaya sobs. Kise puchun…. Plays Vaiju says, “I need your blessings because I’m afraid to enrol in a large college.”
Vasundhara and all bless her. “I will drop you,” says Ranvijay. Vaiju responds, “Thank you, but I must learn to be independent, so I’ll take the bus.” He apologises and taunts her. He walks away. He arrives at the mill. He is concerned about Vaiju. I won’t call and bother her, he says. The principal meets with Vaiju. He recognises her as a topper.
She inquires about college scholarships. Don’t worry, he continues; the top five students receive scholarships. You don’t have to pay fees; just fill out this form, and I’ll take care of the entrance. She completes the form. She pauses while she considers calling Ranvijay. As she calls, he waits. When she gets home, she speaks with the scarecrow. She says, “I feel proud today; it’s a big day,” adding, “I got admission without fees.”
Ranvijay arrives and asks why you insulted me and didn’t include me on this momentous day. “When did I do that?” she asks. He quarrels. She claims that I asked you to spend time with Jaya. “I will shatter if you hurt me,” he adds. She claims that Jaya will handle you and won’t let you break, so I’m glad you’re becoming close to her. He claims that without my permission, no one can approach me. He holds her. She begs him to keep away. I don’t like it when you touch me, she says. He’s taken aback. Tuta dil tuta plays. He walks away. She cries.
Ragini says that because everyone travelled to Shirdi, the house appears empty. “Yes,” Jaya replies. We four can have dinner together, Ragini says. “No, I’m exhausted,” answers Ranvijay. Jaya says he doesn’t ever agree to our plans. He thinks Vaiju will also join him for supper, and she will be in a happy mood. He says we’ll enjoy ourselves at a nice restaurant. He isn’t so dull, Ragini asks. Quickly get ready, urges Ranvijay. “I can’t come,” Vaiju says. He demands that she attend. “Yes,” Jaya replies.
“No, you all go,” Vaiju adds. She believes she is not welcome there. “Enough,” he says, “go get ready.” We shouldn’t force her, adds Ragini. Angrily, Ranvijay leaves. Ranvijay sits silently at the restaurant. Jaya gives him a look. She speaks with Ragini. He adds that I’m not hungry, so I’ll have some juice. We ordered Chinese for you, Jaya says. He requests that the waiter pack the meal. He responds, “I’ll just come; Vaiju is at home, and she’ll have the food.” He leaves.
Ranvijay gives Vaiju a call. She ignores the calls and turns the phone aside. He dials the landline number. She says I won’t answer the phone, but it might be crucial. She goes to answer the phone. He asks, “Where are you?” “I was trying to call you on your phone,” which makes me tense. Please respond. Jaya asks, “Who are you talking to?” as she leaves. Vaiju hangs up.
I had some personal work, says Ranvijay. Is there anything personal except wife and sister, Jaya asks? They should stop fighting, Ragini says. Jaya declines to eat. Ragini says that we will go home even though I won’t eat. “Sorry, have some food,” he says. Jaya goes. Ragini warns that he must resolve the issues, or else he might regret it.
