Kusum tells Mangal it’s not a good sign that her mangalsutra broke. Mangal makes her a MangalSutra like he made for Lakshmi on her wedding day.
Informing Lakshmi that he will leave for work, Kartik informs Gayatri. Lakshmi informs Kartik that Gayatri is resting due to a heat stroke and requests that he meet her later. Lakshmi and Nidhi argue. Nidhi asks Lakshmi not to change the routine. Karthik agrees with Lakshmi. He orders Nidhi not to cause any trouble. Nidhi angrily heads to inform Gayatri about it, but Sanjana stops her. Sanjana tells Nidhi they will watch the drama later.
Kusum asks Soumya why she came to Adit’s house. Soumya tells her that she came to pick up the purse she forgot at their place. Kusum says she arrived at the right time. Aiming to make Mangal wear the Mangal Sutra she prepared, she asks Soumya to take their pictures.
Adit puts the mangalsutra on Mangal’s neck, and Soumya takes their photos. She decides to snatch Mangal’s rights from her. Gayatri scolds Indu for not waking her up. Sanjana and Nidhi come there. They instigate Gayatri against Lakshmi. They tell Gayatri how Lakshmi changed Karthik.
Gayatri scolds Lakshmi for changing the house rules and warns her not to. Lakshmi tries to talk to Gayatri, but Gayatri does not listen. She calls Karthik and tells him she will get him lunch in 10 minutes. He advises Gayatri to retire and leave her responsibility to Lakshmi. Gayatri cuts the call and leaves in a fury. Sanjana believes she wants to see Gayatri suffer.
Mangal asks Soumya to eat lunch with them. Adit enjoys his favorite curry. Soumya doesn’t like it. She makes Mangal fall to the floor. Everyone rushes to help him. Adit tells Mangal he is bored with her food and comments about her. Soumya smirks. Mangal promises that he will get him curry. Gayatri’s behavior upsets Indu, so she also asks Lakshmi if she is upset.
When Lakshmi speaks positively about Gayatri, Gayatri overhears it. She thinks she made a wise decision by choosing Lakshmi to be her daughter-in-law. Jia witnesses it. She breaks the vase and leaves. Lakshmi and Gayatri are confused about how the vase broke.
Mangal tells Lakshmi that she is proud of her later on. In their conversation, Mangal tells Lakshmi that Soumya is helping Ishana with her studies. Lakshmi says it’s not good to take help from Soumya. Adit takes the phone and warns Lakshmi not to interfere with their house matters. He cuts the call. When he hears the call bell, he opens the door, and the police arrive. Mangal and her family are shocked when the police arrive.
