Adit calls his estate agent and says he wants to sell the house he lives in. Everyone is shocked. He says we have a need; it’s new and fully furnished. Kusum asks you why you’re selling the house. Has Mangal left me a choice? She’s gonna bring us all on the road. Those people jailed her for the festival. What else would we do? We’d be ashamed all around. She’s mad about her sister’s wedding.
Mangal sobs. Adit claims she combined substances with Mehndi. I have no idea what she would do in the future. We ought to get her sister married and sell this house. She won’t, at least, disparage us in this way. Mangal says no, please don’t sell the house. Mehndi was all I took. I’m not sure how the chemical altered the oil. You took it yourself, he says. Kusum reminds him of all the support she has given him, even taking on the responsibility of arranging Lakshmi’s wedding and causing herself immense stress. Feeling guilty for standing by Mangal, she questions whether it was a mistake on her part. With this, she leaves while Mangal continues to cry.
In the background, Lakshmi waits for Karthik. Gayatri arrives. She heard Sanjana and Karthik’s conversation. Lakshmi asks, Aunty, how are you? Karthik sits in stress. Mangal says to give him coffee. He throws it on the floor. It burns his hand. What is your problem? You keep getting me in trouble. I said I didn’t want to see your face. I want to sit here in peace. Mangal tries to pick up the glass pieces. Get out of here. I can’t tolerate you. I can’t live with you. Akshar cries.
