Adit tells Mangal to get the food ready. She asks Kusum and Papa to sit with the guests. She says, “I’ll get the food ready.” She gets insulted everywhere. You bother me so much. Do you want to look like a servant in front of them? She says some other. He takes out and throws her saree and says, “These? They look like mops. Your sarees are all cheap. You don’t have a good one.”
His statement is that all of these clothes are terrible. You were wearing them to that cheap award. Please don’t change, keep wearing them. Thank God I saw, otherwise you would insult me. Mangal says it’s heavy. The saree is too heavy to work in. He says, wow, you could wear it to an award function, but now that it’s about me, you can’t. You do so much drama. Am I a donkey? Please stop it. Mangal cries. Put the food and focus on the food instead.
The guests ask the kids about their school. Mangal prepares the food. She cuts the salad, too. Akshat blows on her face. He says everyone is sitting in AC, and you’re cooking in heat in this saree. She tells him to sit in the AC. He refuses. Why does Papa always do this? Why does he bring guests? He ruined everything, he knew you’d win the medal. Mangal says Papa will get a big project. He works so hard for us, so let’s do something for him too. Akshat hugs her tight.
The bell rings. Karthik and Lakshmi arrive at the function. The media takes pictures of them together. Karthik introduces Lakshmi as his wife.
As Somaiya enters, she apologizes for disturbing you all. I need Adit to sign these papers immediately. Adit says no problem. The client wants this done tomorrow. She says it was urgent. She says she is very hardworking. Akshat says my mom cooked everything. She is very perfect. She makes the best food available.
Mangal is waiting for Lakshmi and Karthik. Adit cuts her phone. Somaiya apologizes to Mangal for asking me to sit as well. Lakshmi and Karthik are worried as the host invites Mangal Saxena to receive the award. Karthik says he’s going to call Adit. The host says Mangal came on stage. She’s been an example for women in Delhi. She’s been so brave. The client says Mangal deserves an award. The client says Mangal has done everything independently despite having no work. One day, Adit receives a call from Karthik.
Karthik inquires about Adit’s whereabouts and their friends. Shortly after, Mangal’s name is called out, and she is asked to come up on stage. Karthik asks how long it would take for her to join them. Adit reveals that Mangal cannot make it as she is with her boss, who came all the way from the US today. Karthik expresses concern and asks if everything is alright with her. Adit confirms that she is fine but explains that he has work responsibilities, unlike Karthik, who can pursue his passion freely. He also mentions that asking his boss to skip the event would be rude. Adit suggests requesting Lakshmi to stop calling Mangal and leaving the event themselves as well. Just then, the host announces Mangal Saxena’s arrival on stage.
Somaiya says Mangal ought to start a food truck. She could earn money and show off her talent. Otherwise, housewives manage the money their husbands give them. When they need help, they have to get a loan. Kusum says Mangal doesn’t need help. We’re here for her. You can assist Mangal in the kitchen. Mangal is trying to get a pan out of the cabinet.
As Somaiya adjusts her stole, the pan accidentally falls on her head. Mangal immediately apologizes and checks if she is hurt. Seeing that her head has swelled, he rushes to get some ice to soothe the wound. Somaiya reassures him that she is okay. Mangal insists on applying ice for better healing while serving dessert. Feeling guilty, Somaiya sympathises with Mangal having to leave his medal ceremony and stay back to cook. She mentions how she would have been there receiving the medal with everyone clapping for her, but instead finds herself in the kitchen. However, Mangal explains that seeing Adit happy makes him happy, too, proving their strong bond of love. He checks on Somaiya’s well-being again, and she confirms that she is okay. Overwhelmed with love and gratitude, Somaiya assures Mangal that she will repay him by showing her love in return.
Karthik tells Lakshmi everything. She asks why Adit does it all the time. The host announces Mangal’s name.
