Gayatri then invited them to have breakfast, prompting her friends to ask for an introduction to her daughter-in-law, whom they assumed must also be fashionable, like a celebrity. Seeing Lakshmi nearby, Gayatri asked for a glass of water and her friend Nidhi informed the group that this was Karthik’s wife, Lakshmi Nigam. Gayatri then called Lakshmi over and introduced her as her daughter-in-law. The guest apologized, realizing they didn’t know who Lakshmi was.
