Mangal is en route. Adi tells Kusum that he will drop her off at this point, as the car cannot proceed further. This is a common issue in this old area. As they observe someone approaching in a luxurious car, they wonder who could be driving it. Kusum speculates that it may be Laxmi’s in-laws, to which Adi sarcastically responds with disbelief. Meanwhile, Mangal worries about the situation. Adi points towards his inexpensive in-laws’ houses and suggests going inside. However, Kusum reminds him that Mangal would not appreciate it if he left. He expresses his frustration with Mangal receiving proposals just like herself, but she encourages him to join her as the guests have arrived. Chachi greets them and invites them inside.

The man and his family arrived in an expensive car with many servants and gifts. Kusum pointed out that it was the family of Laxmi, which surprised Adi. He asked if they were there to see Laxmi, to which Mangal replied that it was a great opportunity. Kusum also added that Mangal had brought a promising proposal for Laxmi. Mrs. Mahesh Bharadwaj then inquired about the house they were in, and Chacha confirmed it was Laxmi’s home. Adi recognized their last name as part of the Bharadwaj group, and Mrs. Mahesh confirmed it was their company. She mentioned regretting not meeting elsewhere due to the congested streets in the area, which they were not used to. Adi then spotted their car and asked about their son, who Seh said was Nitin.

She says Sachin is a good guy. Mangal prays for Laxmi. Adi wonders how Mangal approached them and how they liked Laxmi. Chacha introduces Kusum and Adi. Lipika says the family looks very rich. The guy looks old, but he’s rich. Let’s see if they agree. They wouldn’t have come here otherwise because Mangal didn’t even send them your picture.

Kusum inquires from Adi if he has met everyone and reminds him of his meeting. He hesitates, feeling it would be inappropriate for him to leave. Kusum then turns to Shanti, inquiring about Mangal’s whereabouts. Shanti assures her that Mangal will soon arrive. Kusum then proceeds to call Mangal to confirm her arrival. Adi notices Nitin’s attire and ponders how Mangal secured such a proposal. Nitin asks Adi about the company he works for, and Adi responds with “Infotech.” Nitin comments on their success and reveals that the CEO is his close childhood friend, offering to speak highly of Adi to him. Kusum requests that Nitin provide a reference for Adi.

Shanti urges Laxmi to hurry while she waits for Mangal. Lippika comments that the others won’t appreciate the food they brought and criticizes their standards. Laxmi arrives with tea and serves it, to which Kusum compares her to Mangal, praising her abilities and independence in managing the household. Chachi mentions that Laxmi also runs a tailoring business, while Lippika points out that she left school in 10th grade. On the other hand, Mahesh argues that real education comes from experience rather than certificates. Mrs. Mahesh reveals that their son studied in London, but they prefer a more traditional girl for him. Finally, Shanti asks Laxmi to make tea for everyone before disappearing into the kitchen.

Mangal arrives but realizes she has no change, which concerns her. Meanwhile, Adi ponders over the reason behind marrying Laxmi, suspecting there might be an issue with her. Mrs. Mahesh then prompts Mangal to reveal her decision, with Chachi emphasizing that they are awaiting her response. Mrs. Mahesh discloses that their son Nitin is interested in Laxmi, leaving Adi astonished. However, he declines the proposal, stating they have no interest. As Laxmi anxiously awaits Mangal’s arrival, Shanti urges her to bring out sweets. Mangal attempts to call Adi, who emerges, only to express his frustration at her lack of change, calling her “useless.”

Kusum talks to the family and tells them different things. Mangal apologizes for his tardiness. Mrs. Mahesh tells her that Laxmi is liked. She looks at Nitin and asks if he is you. Shanti replies to Nitin Bharadwaj. Mangal looks around and asks where Sachin is. It’s Nitin, not Sachin, she says. Kusum says he’s Nitin Bharadwaj, the guy I spoke to. She says I’m taking the correct name. The proposal was sent to Sachin. I am taking the correct name.

The Lipika tells Laxmi not to forget us when you marry there. Find me a handsome and wealthy man, too. Mangal fixed your life, and you fixed mine. She asks if this is your son. Mahesh says yes. This is our son, Mahesh says. She says we sent a proposal for Sachin, not Nitin. Nitin is Nitin’s cousin. Nitin liked her when the proposal came, so we thought she was perfect for him.

How did you select Sachin for Laxmi? The choice was made after a clear discussion. I’m afraid that’s not right. Mrs. Mahesh says Nitin likes Laxmi. Shanti says Mangal, what’s the difference? They’re both brothers from the same family. It happens a lot. She says but Nitin.. Adi says Mangal should let elders handle it. Shanti says yes, sit here. Laxmi has agreed. Mangal is concerned.

Shanti instructs Laxmi to ring the sweets and suggests that Mangal should come. Upon Mangal’s arrival, Laxmi encourages her to serve the sweets. Mrs. Mahesh then reminds them about the shagun and expresses her desire to finalize today’s marriage. As part of the shagun, they give gifts to Laxmi and make her wear a chunri. However, Mangal stops the ritual and throws the chunri, shocking everyone present. Apologizing for her actions, Mangal explains that she cannot allow this marriage to take place. Mrs. Mahesh questions her sanity and harsh words, while Chandini points out Laxmi’s future as the third wife in a new family.

Precap

Adit tortures Mangal, saying, “You have given me a burden, and only I know how I am surviving.” Mangal says Lakshmi will marry someone who respects her, not Nitin, who is ignorant.
